I bought my second Samsung dryer after the first one died with failures of both the drum and heating element after 4 -5 years of light duty use ONLY because of some unavoidable installation and time constraints. Had I had the option, I would have gone with another brand (hopefully US made). My experience with this appliance has me wondering what ever happened to the days when my US made dryer lasted over 20 years with only one or two heating element replacements in that long service.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've only had the washer/dryer for a couple of days, but love all the features after reading both manuals. From heavily soiled (towels), althletic wear, to delicates. I used a top loader previously and the agitator ate a few of our clothes. With the previous washer (top loader), we couldn't fit a king size mattress pad, so it's great that we have the room to wash it now with the front loader. If you follow the manual, you shouldn't have any problems. Which includes cleaning/up keep.

Overall good, except lint catch

Overall good product so far and it was inexpensive compared to other brand and models. The lint catcher needs to be redesigned. It's hard to open and I'm afraid the plastic where it unfolds (so you can remove lint) will crack soon. I'd be happy to redesign it!
