Buyer Beware!

I have had this dryer about about 4 years. Up until now, no complaints and loved it except the hard to open lint trap. HOWEVER----- Dryer drum cracks are a known issue and they still sell this model for some reason. Wanted to make sure others are aware. There was a Class Action Lawsuit attempted, a few years back but ultimately dismissed. The replacement drum is about half the cost of the dryer, and the issue is something with the wheel that spins it being an incorrect size/fit, so the new drum will likely also crack since the cause is not fixable. I have sealed the holes/cracked area with heat resistant tape and will hope for the best. Once it finally breaks completely I will NEVER buy another Samsung dryer.

HORRIBLE

I have had this dryer 18 months. I spent $800 hard earned money on this dryer that I thought would last for years. In 18 months I have had to replace 2 different sensors, the control panel AND the motor!! Now the dryer turns on and then immediately turns off after 5 seconds. I cannot afford a new dryer. I am using a laundry mat and my friends next door to get me through. This is so unacceptable of a product. It is out of warranty and there is nothing that can be done. Samsung needs to make this right! I will never purchase another Samsung appliance the rest of my life and I am only 35! Do not make the same mistake I did!!

purchased this dryer from sears on 8/27/18. heating coil has blown and will cost $500 to repair. samsung not willing to help. this is hugely disappointing!

Will not dry sheets

Will not dry bed sheets without interrupting the cycle every 5 minutes to untwist the sheets. The drum is poorly engineered; whether it's the speed, diameter or drum paddles, sheets are rolled into a log and will not dry. I have tried adding tennis balls, sneakers, towels to no avail. Any of the advanced features are worthless if the laundry cannot be kept separated while drying.
Cons: Did not meet expectations

I bought this dryer 3 years ago brand new. I guess I should have bought an extended warranty because it stopped spinning and I'm being quoted up to 600 dollars to repair multiple parts. I would not recommend this product for long term use. At this point I'm going to have to throw this out and buy a new dryer.
