Very disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] worked fine at first. 3 1/2 years in it’s making horrible noises. after viewing the youtube, it could be the idler pulley, could be the belt, or it could be rollers. who knows?? very disappointing.

No customer service to fix broken dryer

i've had the dryer for 4 months and it's worked less than 2. servicequick and samsung care suck. i've been trying to get the dryer repaired for weeks. they asked if my dryer was stacked and i said yes. they sent one tech who left, having done nothing, because he said he couldn't do it alone. i had to wait another 10 days. when the 2 techs came, 1 tech left because they didn't need 2. the tech that stayed kept calling to ask for help identifying parts & their function! after they left, the dryer had a new issue. i called for service and specifically stated that the same techs were not to return. they sent the same techs. they left after doing nothing again. i am waiting another week for another guess at what's wrong. complete fail as product, but an even bigger failure for customer service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't do it!

there are barely enough words to describe the level of frustration, disappointment and time wasted on buying this dryer. after having a visit to fix the dryer - making a horrendous noise, which apparently is common - you would think that you would be left with a normal working dryer. clearly not. i have never had to untangle bedding as often as i need to with this dryer - to the point of over a 60 minute cycle, having to need to untangle sheets 10 times. who has that kind of time to waste. i know how to put sheets in a dryer to prevent tangling - there is something seriously wrong with this dryer!

Failed Twice in 1st Year, Samsung not helping

bought new at lowe's 12 months ago. 2 person household, maybe a load or two a week. computer failed in first 5 months, samsung replaced part under warranty. same part failed 7 months later, samsung will replace it under warranty. when this part fails again (no doubt it will) after the warranty expires, i was told to call and they would "try" to accommodate me with a replacement. nothing in writing. no extended warranty for a replacement product. they would rather pay several hundred dollars to get techs to replace the same part over and over, run out your warranty, and then leave you with the bill.
when this part breaks again and i have to buy a new dryer, you can be sure i'll be shopping a different brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

my wife and i bought the dryer/washer combo to stack in our bathroom. when we got the products we were happy with it so for almost a year everything was fine. that was until one day in 2019 the dryer decided to not stop running after the clothes were finished being dry. unless we unplug the dryer or leave the door open the dryer continues to run. so we contacted customer service which ended up telling us it was going to cost us a good amount of money for the parts and for the tech to come out. well we’re not rich and couldnt afford all of that so we worked around the issue. fast forward to today and now we’re having issues with the timer and what not. samsung usually has great products but this is just ridiculous. what can i do now????

Didn't last its full machine lifetime

if it hadn't broken after only 5 years of use for a family of two, i would still have no complaints. the machine is quiet and easy to use. unfortunately, it began making scraping noises a month ago. finding a tech in the area to service it was difficult, and last night there was a loud pop and the machine stopped turning minutes after starting a new load. we're hoping samsung can fix it so this machine gets the other 10 years of life i'd expect out of a drier. in addition, it appears the price has increased by $200 since 2015 when it was purchased. i expected more life out of this appliance.

i have had this dryer 17 months. i spent $800 hard earned money on this dryer that i thought would last for years. in 17 months the contol panel and the heating element are broken. now the dryer turns on and then immediately rolling and rolling without control. this is so unacceptable of a product. it is out of warranty and there is nothing that can be done. samsung needs to make this right! i will never purchase another samsung appliance the rest of my life and i am only 35! do not make the same mistake i did!! samsung send my report to metro tv and appliance service and the estimate cost out of my pocket is $570 dollars. unbelievable!!!

Dryer Good (Washer Not)

Dryer worked okay but seemed to run a lot longer then our 12 year old Whirlpool. Bought as a set with the matching dryer but after 2-1/4 years of constant problems with the washer we finally trashed the washer and donated the dryer to Habitat for Humanity.
