Crooked racks

We bought this oven to replace a similar GE we had for 26 years. Poorly installed result in 2nd visit. Happy with performance until baking bread. Racks are not level. Oven is level as are rack guides. Not recommended for cake or custard pie baking. Very disappointed.

The oven takes almost 20 minutes to heat up to 400 degrees. We have only used it a couple of times and learned that the oven thermometer is off by more than 50 degrees. We set it for 350 and, using an accurate temperature gun, discovered the actual temperatures ranged from 395 to 425 depending on which part of the oven we tested. When we cooked our Thanksgiving turkey I had to keep testing the temperature every 30 minutes and modulate it according to the reading.
In addition, the oven exhausts hot air from the bottom whenever it is on. This is a complete waste of energy. I think it does this in part because the lower heating element is buried underneath a metal floor, which is why it takes so long to pre-heat.
The microwave oven is so large and deep that my wife cannot reach the back of it to clean it. The controls and vents take away much needed space from the size of the oven. The microwave controls are complicated and require multiple buttons to reheat something at a low level.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I hate my over priced oven!

I absolutely hate the number of touches and or turns necessary to use timer, set temp, edit, etc. This is THE most user unfriendly appliance I have ever owned! The timer is the most ridiculous feature requiring far too many touches. I curse this appliance daily.

I bought this unit about two months ago, just in time for my Christmas baking. I replaced the same unit in kind, because the original unit was 14 years old. I chose to replace in kind because the unit had been a good unit and a knew the new one would fit. I have to say I'm really, really disappointed in my purchase. The 14-year old unit did a better job than this brand new one....seriously.....the oven cooked food more evenly and the microwave worked much faster - this new unit takes another extra minute to boil water than the previous unit....The controls are not user-friendly, there's several steps to just setting the oven temperature, and forget the timer - it's cumbersome and too many steps. When you're baking cookies, you can't take 10-12 seconds to set a timer! I wish I would have shopped around more and purchased another model and/or brand.

Perfect.... Except Microwave door open Downward !!

Bought this oven as it was only "guaranteed fit" replacement oven-microwave combo. The oven is great as is the microwave. BUT...... the microwave oven door opens downward (like an oven door) instead of opening sideways (like a microwave should). This makes it very difficult to put items into it and to remove hot cooked items, especially since it is up high above the oven. Even more uncomfortable for women, who tend to be shorter. Also, very difficult to clean, you have to literally stand on a chair to reach into the microwave due to the door opening downward.

This microwave machine takes at least 2 minutes to heat a cup of coffee.
The way the door opens (like an oven & not a swing door like a microwave) makes it impossibly difficult to clean.
The panel light is dim for someone with poor eyesight.
The buzzer is not loud enough to hear when the microwave is done.
I am disappointed that we purchased this unit.

Which model in black replaces this? The microwave paint is flaking on the inside. The unit was built in 2005.
