Oven design is deeper by 1/4" than specification

I finally decided to replace my 20 year old 27" GE wall oven and microwave combo after a few fixes during the past 12 months. I decided to go with JK3800DHWW and expected the quickest installation. Since there was no floor model available locally, I downloaded the installation manual and carefully checked all dimensions (height, depth, and width). Once the new oven was delivered and measurements were made, it became obvious that folks at GE did not measure the depth correctly. They forgot to include the depth of screw heads in the installation manual. This oven requires a depth of 23.5 inches instead of 23" as specified. Please fix the installation manual so that the next customer can avoid any unexpected surprises.

This was a replacement for a previous GE double oven. This model appears to have improved upon the former model. Controls are easy to learn. We were concerned about the reorientation of the microwave door; however, we found that the new design was not a problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This combo is exactly what our kitchen update needed to give a fresh and clean look. Operation is simple and cooking in the oven is splendid. Microwave works wonderful and is a big improvement over our old one.

Spent alot of money on this to have it stop baking

Was working great had no problems with it....until we used the clean setting...now the oven wont bake....it says its preheating but does not get hot....very disappointing!!

The interior space on this oven is so much larger than the previous oven we had that filled in the same cabinet size hole! We love this oven!

Nice in many respects

This is a very attractive oven and I know I will enjoy it for years to come. But there are some areas I would change.
Pros: The microwave is huge and the largest pizza or large casserole dish will fit!
It has the timed bake I need and delayed timing feature.
Cons:
The control panel is somewhat challenging and I wish it were simpler. On several occasions I neglected to push the final 'start' button and later found the oven hadn't started yet.
I had understood the description to mean that the microwave could be used as a second oven, but it is not an oven. Just a microwave. No temperature settings though there are power settings.
The 30-second warm up is not very powerful, certainly not powerful enough to heat up a beverage. We have to hit it 2-3 times (1 1/2 minutes) to get our beverages nice and hot. But most disappointing is the timer. The timer sound is so soft I can barely hear it when I am standing right next to the oven in the kitchen! For someone older like myself, I need a good strong bell or beep. Even the beep indicating the oven has reached the set temperature is hardly audible. And I am not that hard of hearing.
Finally, the oven warms up very slowly. It takes about 8 minutes to reach 200 degrees, 12 minutes to reach 350 and a full 15 minutes to reach 400 degrees. Seems to me that's pretty slow.
But I'll focus on the benefits of the large microwave and all the other benefits and be grateful! Nothing's perfect!
