Huge microwave

Great Basic Oven

This oven and microwave fit into the space provided in my 20 year old home. That being said, it is a very good basic oven. It takes longer to heat than my previous oven. However it is VERY easy to use, very easy to clean, and has some nice benefits such as the proof setting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far, So-So

Replaced an older GE built-in with similar configuration (microwave/oven). Seems to work OK and the microwave area is much larger that the old unit. However, I'm disappointed with:
1) the fold down microwave door. The old unit has a swing door which was easier to use with a free hand.
2) The alarms (timer, cook temp reached, microwave done, etc.) are too quiet to be heard from another room and the only adjustment for the alarms is mute/on.
3) The microwave controls are much harder to use. Lost the one touch buttons for running the microwave from 1to 6 minutes. Only the add 30 seconds button was retained.

I have been zeroing in on GE appliances ever since I bought a microwave that had lastrd over 20 years. I tried others but the broke. Will stay with GE as long as I can.

The oven and microwave are larger than our old GE Profile. Both work terrific and the installation went great. Easy to clean. Highly recommend this product!
