Not appropriate for the elderly

This is a very nice looking oven/microwave. We bought it for my 91 year old mother to replace her old built in oven.
I wish we hadn't - The controls are way too technical and confusing for her; however there don't seem to be any new appliances with OLD FASHIONED controls. She is completely frustrated in attempting to use this appliance. The microwave door pulls down and is too high for my mother.

Nice Wall oven

It seems to be a well made oven. I had an older GE wall oven combo that was 18 years old that needed to be replaced. I didn’t want any problems with fitting so I just stuck with the same brand. Overall the most annoying feature is a much longer pre-heating cycle compared to my older oven! I was pretty surprised by how expensive this oven is. The other competitors brands were even more expensive so in the end the choice was easy.

Would like it better if the oven portion would preheat faster - takes five to eight minutes longer than 17 year old oven it replaced. Microwave works well but do not like combination of touch screen and rotary dial controls needed. Makes each operation take multiple steps.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

High quality basic combo microwave/oven.

This would have been 5 stars except for a couple of things. First, the timer and alerts are not loud enough. The settings are either normal or mute, and when set to normal it’s so low that while my wife is in the kitchen a few feet from the oven she doesn’t even notice the timer going off. The other thing is the controls look sleek but at the cost of an intuitive interface. Numbered keypads may not look the nicest when trying to achieve a sleek look, but in ridding the keypad it takes more steps to set the microwave or oven to what you want it to do. I installed this oven myself and it took only about hour because it was replacing an older similar model rated at the same power with the same dimentions. Took 3 of us to get the unit in the cabinet cutout because it’s large and heavy. Overall this is a quality oven that seems well built.

Was an update choice for a wall oven and a microwave on shelf above the oven. Much better look, and has all the features needed and more. Hoping it will last as long as the previous set up...30+ years.
