Disappointed replacement for previous GE combo

I like my previous GE microwave combo wall oven over this replacement. But for matching the cutout (with slight 1/4”) wider opening modification, I don’t see the value of cost added for the microwave. Most annoying is the undersized fonts for display, the unintuitive programming, slow preheat times and awkward microwave door opening down instead of sideways. Also microwave use results in subsequent noisy and confusing fan turned in for ‘cooling’. Not a fan of the front glass doors either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my new oven!

The oven inside is large with a big viewing window so you can see easily see what you are cooking. The racks appear to be coated with the same thing as inside the oven making them easy to clean. The microwave is big inside and stainless steel making it easy to clean. I like the ease in positioning the glass plate in the microwave. My old microwave was a little harder to lineup the glass plate.

Some good fearures

The oven is large. It seems to take longer to warm up than the previous unit. The the food cooks faster. The microwave seems to be noisy. Also the microwave can only be set at 15 second intervals.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Broke down after 2 weeks but cooks well when works

Our oven was great for a couple of weeks but then the power stopped working. We had it examined and the repair people were advised by GE to replace all three circuit boards in the oven. We waited for another 3 weeks for the circuit boards to be delivered and the repair men spent 3 hours dismantling the oven and replacing the circuit boards. It now works fine but our faith in GE products in general and in our own oven in particular is now very low. We half expect it to break again any time, especially as it was unclear what the problem was.

Oven Micro Combo

Not too happy with this product. The controls don't have an illuminated display so you mut turn up the lights in the room to use the controls. It brand new and already making strange noises when the microwave is running.

Poor Quality

The oven stopped working after just 6 uses. I now receive an error code stating “communication error with lower oven”.

Demo mode

We suggest you try turning off power to the unit at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds. Many units are on a double breaker in the breaker box, so be sure to turn both breakers off and back on. If this doesn't help, check the power connection to make sure the junction box (wall oven) or power cord (range) was wired properly.
