Replaced 35 yr old GE Wall Oven Microwave Combo

Purchased this under the GE Employee Purchase Plan to replace our 35 yr. old GE microwave / wall oven combo. Family loves it, easy controls interface, good installation instructions. Had to widen existing cabinet face by 1/32" each side using jig saw. Once installed, the fit and clearances to either side were just right. Also, be aware the "perfect fit" refers to the unit width, not height. Once installed, there is a 5" to 6" height gap either at the top or bottom, depending on how the new unit is set vertically into the existing cabinet. I choose to mount it all the way up, leaving the opening at the bottom. I'll use that area for a shelf or something. It would be nice if GE offered cover plates or grilles to cover this opening. All in all, extremely happy with purchase. The new unit works great and is a pleasure to use. Stainless steel microwave is a beautiful design.

Very Fine Product

This combination wall unit was a replacement for an older GE model. The fit was perfect and it functions so much better than the original unit. I was worried that the orientation of the microwave door would be hard for family members that are five feet tall, but it has not been an issue. We purchased the stainless steel finish and it really adds a nice up-scale and modern look to our kitchen.

I replaced the JKP68G that I owned for 25 1/2 years with this model. The only disappointment is that they make this model 25 inches wide and mine old GE was 24 3/4 inches wide. Why they did this to me I will never know. It was a lot of work getting it up the stairs and into the space. They made the wires too short so my contractor had to put in a junction box. The wires on the first GE were long enough . With all that said I love my new GE .

Love My Micro and Oven

We bought the GE combo micro and oven wall unit because we had one before and were replacing it due to a kitchen re-do. We stayed with GE because our old unit still worked after 26years.

New Microwave/Oven combination

We purchased this oven to replace our 25 year old GE microwave/oven. My wife has commented that the new oven has much better cooking features/controls and that the temperature control is significantly better allowing her to bake items with better results. We are very pleased with this unit so far!
