I bought this to replace my old combination microwave/oven. At first, I was worried that I have to alter my built in cabinet because I was told that GE no longer make the same model. Fortunately, this model fit exactly the size of my cabinet. We are enjoying this unit.

I bought this to replace an older model. Once installed it look fabulous. Really clean and nice. The oven part, I'm find with. It cooks good with the same cooking times that I'm used to. There's a few annoyances though that I was hoping I would get used to, but am just not. The microwave door pulls down instead of opening on a side hinge. I thought this was a neat feature when I saw it online. However, I'm 5' 4" and have to now stand on my tip toes to take something out of the microwave. If its a hot, sloshy liquid, I have to use a stool even. That's a HUGE annoyance. The other negative is the microwave control panel. It seems to have taken a giant step backward in technology. I loved the "quick on" buttons of basically every other microwave on the market. Need to cook one minute, just hit the "1" and off it goes. But this requires you hitting the "microwave" button, then turning a dial to hours or minutes, then hitting select, then again dialing in the minutes which only go in 15 second intervals so I've yet to figure out how to cook for 90 seconds. I suppose I'll have read the manual for that. It's just aggravating. Finally, some loud fan is on when the microwave stops cooking. It sounds EXACTLY like the microwave cooking! So if you happen to miss the faint chime that the microwave is done, you'll continue to think its going until you eventually remember you were once cooking something in there.
I'm disappointed in this new model. And to the credit of GE, their products do last a long time. Unfortunately that just means I'm stuck with this one for a long time.

I bought this oven in stainless to replace a white one. Very attractive. The bottom oven is great. Microwave oven has design that I do not like - wasted interior space, noisy door closure, controls too detailed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use.........

I've had this appliance for a short time. Replaced a 20 year old Jenn-Air combo. The GE fit near perfect. Easy to install. The controls are intuitive and easy to use. So far so good. I was told to operate the oven for 1 hour at 350 F before using to burn off manufacturer coatings. Did this, a slight odor around the 15 minute mark then the odor was gone. Love the microwave. Large with a lot of usable settings; melt, soften etc. Would recommend.

Nice oven

We've only had the combination wall oven/microwave unit for about a month. Aside from the fact that it takes a long time to pre-heat, it seems to work great.

Great oven

I bought this oven a couple of months ago to replace the old one. Perfect fit. We just had to lower the oven in the wall because of the location of the controls.

Nice looking and functions well. However, although the oven is level, the racks are not and baked items such as cakes are quite uneven. Very disappointed with this.
