Perfect Replacement for old GE

We purchased this to replace a 20+ year old GE double wall oven. Purchased the microwave oven unit and love it! Upgrades our kitchen and love having microwave above oven and not over the stove. It fit perfectly in our cabinet with the exception of a smaller opening that we had to Build a custom drawer. Love the look and all of the features very user-friendly
I would recommend this to a friend!

Inconvenient!

Overall the product is attractive and seems well made. One complaint is that unlike other microwaves that I have had, this one goes into a "cooling" mode after cooking that is often one or two minutes which is inconvenient. The door to the microwave opens down which makes is difficult for a short person to reach into it to reach the food. Most microwaves open to the side allowing you to get closer to it making it easier to reach in. The microwave is also a little noisy.

Replacement built in oven & microwave

This unit replaces our 39 year old GE built in that was installed when we had the house built in 1980.
My only complaint is that there is no way to increase the beep volume. I am hard of hearing high frequency sounds.

I don't like how the microwave door opens

Installing was so easy, perfect fit. I don't like the microwave door it's hard to clean the mircowave. The fan is so much quieter than the previous GE model. It takes a little longer to warm food. Shows more smudges than the other one. Otherwise great produc

Very nice, attractive unit with many features. We had a space limitation and this unit fit perfectly. There are more features on this unit than our old one, which is nice in some ways and problematic (mildly) in other ways. The selection for microwave times are pre-set, either in 15 sec. or 30 and it is not clear if and how you can change that. There is the option to then again choose a "resume", which then brings up about 6 seconds more and you can repeat that if necessary. Seems like a lot of extra fiddle. The oven has a steam clean which apparently is to be used more than the self clean because of where the electronics are. I liked my older model, where there was no issue of cleaning and it left the ash you just wiped up. I have not yet used the steam clean, so I do not know how thorough it works. It's an adjustment but otherwise I'm very happy with the unit. I like the microwave door opening like an oven. It seems sturdier than the old one. Since I'm shorter it is a little difficult to reach in and clean, but there is always a step stool to stand on! Very nice unit and I think any one would find it attractive and functional. I am just hoping all the new "whistles and bells" aren't more to go wrong. But that is also why we purchased the extended protection plan.
