My previously owned GE oven/microwave served my family for over 20 years. Went back to the original dealership to seek a replacement. Recommended this model and purchased without much thought. The microwave operating features are not like standard microwave features. It is often confusing and difficult to get used to. The oven operational features work well and are simple to use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Right size oven

I replaced a similar GE 20 year old oven. The size of the new oven is perfect. Both the microwave and traditional ovens work great. There are 2 features that are not as good as the old oven. The microwave oven is much too hard to clean due to the door that pulls down rather than swinging open to the side. The stainless steal finish shows more prints. than my old black oven.

1st use and “communication error with lower oven”!

This unit JK3800DHBB was just installed today 4/14/2020, by the GE reseller for our area. We have an home insurance company American Home Shield, who replaced our old 20 year old wall oven/microwave combo, because it could not be repaired. Tried reopening the service case with AHS, we’ll see what happens. Certainly the unit is in warranty, I registered it online today and it is ... less than a day old!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have had previous model and lasted 17 years. This one is quieter and cleaner. Only negative is oven is slow to heat up but performs beautifully.
