Beautiful and functional

This is a great looking appliance . I appreciate the pull down microwave door and the silver lining. I’ve always had microwaves with the push-in button that would eventually break. The oven works great and I enjoy that the racks will not tarnish. I’ve been purchasing GE alliance for over 30’years. I really hope this one is as reliable as the others I’ve owned.

This replaces the similar GE product from 2006. It fits perfectly in the space. So far we love this. It is beautiful and the microwave is a full size so a lasagna pan fits in it. The dial requires a few extra steps. but I would imagine GE went back to this to limit potential electronic problems. I did not want a convection oven, does not brown as well on the bottom of baked goods, so I am glad that a conventional oven was still available. Wish this was one that could switch back and forth to convection as my beautiful Kenmore used to do. Very disappointed that I have to print my own manual!! Please include with the product.

Awkward Door

Not happy with a few things. Microwave is designed that the door pulls down, instead of from the side. This is not very convenient to have to wrestle the door while inserting item to be microwaved. The height is good, but when the door is pulled down, I am unable to reach inside easily. I am also not a fan of the "knob". Other than that, one week in it is doing fine.

Haven't lived in our home 2 years yet and ours shorted out on the panel is message we get. Sizeable number of residents in our community have had failures and these units are only in the 2 year old range. Will purchase something else if too expensive to fix.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
