Ice chest works better

This fridge was barely a year old once it started taking a dumb on everything. Ice builds up every year and have to tear apart every month to defrost. Doesn't cool, Samsung doesn't help. Seems like common issues but Samsung hasn't issued a fix yet.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this 3 years ago. It worked great for about a year and a half. Then...the shelves started breaking.... ok not a huge deal...a bit frustrating nonetheless...
Soom after, the ice maker went out. It cost too much to repair so we turned it off and use bagged ice....
Then...the water. Omg the water!!! It collected under the pantry drawe and in the crisper drawer on the left hand side.
Then.... the fridge wasn't cooling properly. Come to find out there was ice blocking the air vents. Upon further investigation, the entire back side of the fridge AND freezer frozen solid. We have to defrost and clean up water every 3 days. This is insanity. I want a resolution.

Condensation problem

We bought our new refrigerator four years ago. Recently, water began pooling, and then freezing, under the CoolSelect Pantry drawer because the drainage tubes were made too small to actually drain. We had to unplug it for two days before the repair-person could repair this for a $200.00. In addition, the ice maker is ill designed and allows condensation to form on the ice itself.
Despite this, I do like that the refrigerator has plenty of shelving options.

Worst refrigerator I've ever owned
on October 31, 2018
Posted by: sharpi30
from Pasadena, CA
Have owned for 3 years and have had to pay for repair already. Have never had to have a refrigerator repaired before. For the last 7 months water has been leaking through the ice shoot from the ice maker. The water fills up the reservoir then runs down the front of the refrigerator sometimes all the way to the floor. Haven't had this repaired yet. I like Samsung but I won't buy another one of their refrigerators

Hello sharpi30,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate you letting us know that your Samsung refrigerator has a leaking water issue. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. It's not the experience we want you to have with one of our products, and we'll be glad to look for other options for you.

When you see a pool of water (or one that froze into a sheet of ice), it can often be attributed to condensation or a spill you didn't notice. The most common place to see the water is at the bottom of the compartment, such as below the vegetable or crisper drawers. Leaks can occur outside of the refrigerator, or you can have an auto-fill water pitcher that is leaking. Depending on where the leak is coming from, we will show you what steps to take to find the cause and hopefully keep it from happening again.
