WHAT TIME IS IT?????

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The energy saver on the 2031 model SHUTS OFF the clock leaving it blank except when the unit is running. The unit is large and performs well, but the absence of the clock is a VERY LARGE NEGATIVE. It cannot be adjusted per the company. No salesperson was knowledgeable about that fact and I looked at the unit at 3 different stores. I was hesitant to spend the extra money for it and in retrospect I should have gone with my gut feeling not to splurge on it. I am VERY ANGRY about the absence of a microwave clock at eye level. I need to bend to see the oven clock every time I enter my kitchen.
Pros: Performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

horrible microwave

The microwave worked great for the couple of months i had it till the panel went out and it would just turn on by itself. completely dissapointed after i had to wait from DEC 7th when the part was ordered till Jan 4th and i still don't have a working microwave.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Damaged from factory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just unpacked the microwave from the undamaged box and come to find a small but obvious dent on the door. This factory damage should have been caught. LG gave me the option to have a tech come and repair it. I'm going to go ahead and return it to the store. Not worth messing with it just to end up with a worked-on unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The previous over the counter microwave I had was an LG and lasted 11 years with very satisfactory results. So I decided to buy a new one with no mounting modifications made. It fitted perfectly.

Very Nice Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice microwave, although perhaps a bit more pricey than comparable units. We bought while purchasing other kitchen appliances to match color (black stainless). Pretty easy to mount, although we potentially had less clearance than most installations due to granite backsplash installed previously very close to former microwave (which was just a little smaller in dimensions). But we got it to fit. Seems to work well. It does appear to cook much faster/hotter than our former unit. Was surprised the first time I cooked a couple of items that I knew exactly what I'd cook them on with the former unit, and they got much hotter/faster with this unit. Unit has an energy button, which from the instructions just appears to turn off the display to save electricity. However, next usage it turns back on, so you need to remember to always push that button if wanting to save energy. Seems like that ought to be a setting you can make permanent if desired. All the various reheat and cook categories are nice, however perhaps would have been better to display the categories on the screen instead of just using a number mechanism that you then have to reference a chart with (unless you memorize them!). There is a chart inside the microwave, so at least you don't need to keep the manual always nearby. It does appear to be a bit deeper than my previous unit - glass tray is larger. Does have a lot of features - time will tell whether we actually use them or just enter time and level. Perhaps since this one seems to heat faster, using the categories may be more accurate than our guesses. Currently can recommend this product.

the turntable motor does not work properly, it is going to be replaced
I don't like the fact that you cannot change the power level during the cooking process. the light is so low you cannot see clearly through the door window. Also the "over the stove light is not very bright
