Good over-the-stovetop replacement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace a defective Kenmore microwave, ordered through Home Depot, to be installed by their contractor. Before installation, be sure to inspect the unit front to back, top to bottom! First attempt, box was crushed on one side, and the back of the unit was dented and trim pieces broken. Crew still asked if I wanted it installed! Rejected it, had to schedule a second time. This time box had holes punched in on 2 sides, front door crushed (so it wouldn't close!). Rejected too, had to call LG again, they figured distribution warehouse staff picked up unit with forklift grabber and crushed box in process. Went back to Home Depot and got a loaner microwave while waiting for microwave. Third time, almost a month after ordering, installers came with a box they had opened before delivery to MAKE SURE IT WASN'T DAMAGED - maybe something they should do to all installations? Third crew did great job installing, in and out in less.than 30 minutes.
Have had it 9 months, works great, popcorn feature used alot for in-home movie watching. Only "complaint" is that the sound can't be shut off (previous microwave had this feature), so 3 beep tone is annoying in the mornings. Overall, a good product.

Large Capacity, Superb styling and easy to keep cl

I felt the price was fair based on the features and design of the unit when researching units to purchase. I continue to be pleased with its performance and styling. I DO miss a feature from my previous microwave which was a button to reheat a beverage. Overall, though, it's a great product

What an upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently replaced our long lasting microwave with this LG model. First off, since I was replacing an existing wall mounted microwave, the hardware was already installed. Low and behold, the hardware was exactly the same and in exactly the right place. That never happens! So, I would say mounting to existing hardware is a snap. It took less than 5 minutes. It must be standard, because our previous mic was a Kenmore.
2nd, this microwave is incredibly quiet. You don’t hear much of anything when it’s running.
It stays relatively clean and wipes easy without leaving streaks or fingerprints.
My only Con is the buttons aren’t very responsive. You kind of have to position your finger right in the center of the button and press firm. I find myself pushing buttons a couple of time in order to select what I want. I wouldn’t say that it’s super difficult. Sometimes I get lucky. It’s enough of a nuisance that I noticed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was purchased a little over 1 year ago along with our dishwasher and oven. They are beautiful and functional. We did have an issue about 6 months ago and a technician came out quickly and resolved the problem. The fan blade was melted. It was fixed and we have had no issues since.

Quiet Operation
