Great features, useless window.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with functionality but not with design. The window is impossible and I’m 6’1” tall. Bottom half is totally black. Unnecessary! Also, the vent screen on the right falls off daily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Microwave because of features and easy to use and clean, but, the light in the oven looks like a burnt out candle and the light over the cook top is just as bad. You can’t even see in oven when it’s cooking. I replaced the vent light with a LED. That helped some and I replaced the inside oven light with an LED 2 times and both times it blew the bulb as soon as I turned the light on. I’m really dissatisfied with the light situation.

Had this unit for a hair over 13 months and the magnetron blew. Replaced it with the same model and it only lasted 6 months and blew the power supply. LG, until now, had a very good reputation with me. Not any more. The microwaves, based on repeated failures, are garbage. Thoroughly disappointed.

Broke in less than 2 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this microwave (LMV2031ST) on 11/27/17 from Sears. Just prior to it's 2 year anniversary, it sparked, popped and emitted a burnt plastic smell. Now it just shuts off after 20 seconds. (Probably for the best!) Sears said there was nothing they could do since I didn't buy the extended warranty. LG Customer Service said they won't cover it as it's beyond the 1 year mfg warranty. (Within weeks, my 1 month old LG electric range glass cook top cracked and LG Customer service said it wasn't a manufacturing defect but rather it was due to using a large pan that extended beyond the heating element and so they wouldn't cover any of it. I had this same stove prior to this one. I replaced it with the same model and used it the same way as I had for 9 years with out a problem. It wasn't the pan!) I will never buy LG again.

4yrs and failed

Sorry LG, but I'm done ... no more. Beautiful appliance (although I agree with other reviews regarding small window to view food cooking). This 4yr old microwave failed (likely the magnetron since all low voltage items still work, front panel, fan, light, etc). I also have a matching (Black Stainless) 3 door fridge where the compressor failed within 3 years.

Poor fan/venting operation

Installed a few weeks ago. Vents into the room, and the fan was properly re-oriented to do so. A huge volume of air vents out the top, as intended, but it clearly isn't coming from the bottom of the unit, as it should. Boiling water on the stove beneath the microwave results in the face of the microwave being soaked because the fan moves so little air from beneath, even on the highest (and noisiest) setting. A call to LG and the answer is if it will hold a paper towel against the bottom of the microwave with the fan on, it's working properly. Well, it will hold a paper towel, but it won’t move steam. Really sorry I bought this unit. A previous OTR microwave (not LG) didn’t have this problem.

Excellent Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this microwave 2months ago, it operates and looks great! It was very easy to install, in fact, I do not understand why another reviewer indicated you need more than 30" to install, for my opening is exactly 30" inches. All of the features work great for I use them all and it is also very easy to wipe clean.
