Just the right number of settings for our family

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced our 20 year old appliances. Love the features list but we use it mostly for reheating items, not baking. Excellent design. Wish this one had the ability to beep periodically until the cooked food is removed; currently beeps once and it's not particularly loud.
Pros: easy to use, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's OK

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It looks nice and work but not the greatest design. You can really see what is cooking at all. It's to dim and the viewing window looks like it is large from the outside but it is really not. It's only about the top 1/2 of the black shaded area that looks like the window on the outside. Also the display seems to have some issues. I exchange one but it does the same thing. When you turn on the light it will only show the first letter or so when it should scroll light high or light low. For the price I would have expected it to be a better design.

Really loud

We have been using this microwave for about a month now. It is much louder than the one we had, it also sounds like something is rattling inside.Which is very disappointing. Also the clock is set in and very dim, hard to see unless you're standing right in front of it. It does heat things up so that's the important thing.
Pros: easy to use

Many features I wanted, but thoughtlessly designed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 5 feet tall and the LMV2031 over-the-range microwave oven has a considerable blacked out area extending six inches up from the bottom of the door making it IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE what is happening at the turntable level! See the photos. I believe this is the same door as on the LMV2033 that has the touch panel across the bottom of the door, which is why so much of the bottom of the door’s glass was blacked out. My LMV2031 has the touch panel on the right side. The actual viewing area through the door is 17 wide but ONLY 4 inches high, and below the viewable opening is blacked out 6 inches to the bottom of the door, which is 56 inches off the floor. This last distance is even shorter than perhaps typical, but not unheard of, as when I had my cabinets installed, I took into consideration my height, for accessibility.
But I am not sure how well I would be able to see the turntable, or anything else inside, with more viewing area, as even with the interior light on when the microwave is in operation, it is darker than a mole’s armpit in there!
If this very thoughtlessly designed microwave was subject to such rules, I would have to say it is NOT ADA compliant!
LG, if you're reading this review, send me a useful door and a brighter interior!

Not able to use

This is the 2nd of the 4 LG appliances that we have had to have serviced in the 9 months we have had them. Due to the vent or blower on the microwave itself going out (it stopped making any kind of a fan or blowing sound when it was running) we are now without a dishwasher for probably up to two weeks. It has worked okay up to this point, although melting butter in particular is impossible to do without it splattering all over the place. I have resorted to doing this on the stove. The main issue is the service after such a short time. The parts are apparently not great or they would not have to be serviced after a few months of very light use. Our previous appliances lasted us for 14 years with little or no service at all.

It's a microwave, but.....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a microwave and it works well. The reason I am writing is about the auto features. I rarely used them on other microwaves because, frankly, they suck. However, I've tried the defrost, heat up pastries, soften butter, popcorn, and it all came out perfectly. As an over-the-range with external venting, I had to laugh that it has a turbo exhaust. However, it does work well.
Black interior combined with low level interior lighting makes it difficult to see what is cooking and what needs to be cleined off. Too hard to see what is cooking without opening the door and then there is the problem of low light.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only item we are not happy with is we are unable to see into the oven when it is cooking. The view is obstructed by the glass and when mounted above the range it makes impossible to see.
