Started having problems a few months before the end of the warranty, officially stopped working about 2 months after warranty ended. Trying to get someone out to my house to look at it for extended warranty and no one will come. No one will work on LG because they just have too many problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big let down!!

We bought this microwave 1 your and 4 months ago. We were pleased with it until it stopped working. First the number 2 stopped working and then a few days later it completely stopped working. The manufacturers warranty has expired so we had to pay a technician to come out to fix it. We were told by the technician that the part that needed to be replaced wouldn’t be worth it plus the labor. It gets worse. We also purchased the LG-29.6 Cu. Ft. French InstaView Door-in-Door Smart Refrigerator at the same time and has cooling. This has been a on going problem about a month after the refrigerator was delivered. Needless to say, we are more than disappointed with LG. This is our first time purchasing any product by LG, but I never expected the kind of service we’ve received. I think a bandage was put on the problem until the manufacturers warranty expired. I’ve read that other customers have experienced this same problem. I’ve been told there is no fix for the problem. Who expects to spend over $3500 for appliances and they stop working in less than a year and a half!!! BEWARE BUYERS

Love the touchpad!

I love that the touchpad just senses your fingers and you don't have to actually press the buttons. It also makes it really easy to wipe clean without making it turn on or the fan start! I have no complaints with this microwave. My kids can't see into the window very well as they have shaded it very high but I am not sure that standing in front of a microwave while it is on is a good thing anyway so that's okay with me! Cooks well and easy to clean. The fan and lights work well. I don't use it a lot but when I do I am not ever displeased.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Does the Job

Bought this microwave to replace a similar LG model that we have had more then seven years. The past model was great but a broken handle forced us to replace it. Current model's panel is easy to use and, overall, does the job nicely at a good value. Only minor drawback is that the vent fan is not as quiet as our prior microwave.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings

The lights are on...

but it doesn't turn on. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It started with the "add 30" button. When I use that button, it should heat for 30 seconds but it turns the lights on inside and counts down like a timer but the unit doesn't turn on. Now nothing works on a regular basis. I have a call in for repair.

Good Microwave, But Lacking Some Design Thought

Bought this over the range microwave to complete our kitchen when our old GE microwave died. Now all stainless LG appliances and looks great. The microwave was easy to install (as we did have another over the range before). Looks good as far as the design.
For the features, there really is nothing outstanding but not a negative. Pretty typical among competition and it is functional. Does have some customization settings which is good.
The negatives are the fact that I believe LG tried to save costs and use a door they use in other microwaves (with the buttons on the front door) and a very poor design choice for this model. What I mean is that the door has a typical window for viewing HOWEVER it is only a half window. The front of the microwave looks like you would have a full view inside but you do not. You can only see the top half of the inside when in use. Not the bottom half where the turntable is and where 97% of all cooking is done!! What?!? I'm 5'8" and have to stretch up to peer down to the bottom if I need to check on the food.
The inside is a nice dark color but the interior light is a lower wattage so the dark inside combined with the half window and the dark door window tint does not give a good view unless at night when the room is darker.
And the one thing that I hate is that most microwave manufacturers just do not take the time to make the over the range microwave light a nightlight as well. It is so simple to program this into the appliance. Our GE had a simple timer setting to set an on and off time which was so convenient. You can have a nightlight on so that you don't always have to be flipping on the main kitchen light then it shuts off at bedtime. LG missed the mark as well.
Overall, a nice looking and good microwave, but a very bad decision on the door choice, IMO.

Bought this to match the new range, and to replace a dead Maytag. It would be 5 stars, but I really miss the end reminder of the old one, and I feel like the shelf is too low inside.
