Problems within 2 weeks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product less than a month ago and within one week we had problems with the display. When we would use the fan only one letter would show up where the fan speed should show up. We have to have a technician from LG already come out and they mentioned a faulty motherboard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently replaced all 4 of my appliances with LG products. Every microwave I've ever had has always had a clock display feature that stays on as well as a light inside during cooking...not this model. I've learned that this is an energy savings feature for the clock to turn off after 5 mins. Just how much energy is that saving? And besides its my dime. Same thing with my LG refrigerator...the display lights on the door only come on when the door is opened. Whats the point of having all of these neat lights and clock when they are not constantly displayed? So disappointed that this energy saving feature cannot be deactivated. As a consumer, I should have the option to set the controls.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am disappointed with the light over the range. It is very low even when it is on "high". Thank goodness I have task lighting nearby otherwise I would struggle to see what I am cooking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We immediately noticed the bottom blocker across lower front prevents watching food. Additionally the dark interior and low lighting inside are huge problems. Is the cheese melting? Is food bubbling and heated through?
Otherwise we like the operation of the microwave. We're learning settings and features. Is it running over?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m still getting use to using this new one, but I prefer the feature on my old microwave where I could press “1” for a minute’s time, and “2” for two minutes, and so on. Except for “Reheat Tea”, the presets seem to heat the foods too long. Also, the door doesn’t always latch completely, where the timer starts but the oven doesn’t turn on until I push the door again to secure it.

Regret purchasing

I purchased this just over a year ago. The fan, even on high, is not powerful enough to draw the steam/fumes from the front two burners on my LG range. It also takes a lot of pressure to turn the fan on and off. However, my biggest complaint is that you cannot use the fan on more than low and microwave something at the same time. If you have the fan on a higher setting and place something in the microwave, the fan reverts to low as soon as you press "start". If I had known this, I would not have purchased this unit.
