[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The beep volume is really loud and scares my dogs to death. It must also have some other sound that they hear, because they shake while it’s running. Seems like it works fine, but really is awful how my dogs react every time we use it. On the previous microwave, we used the timer all the time. But now with the super loud beeping, we haven’t been using it. I thought they would adjust, but 2 weeks now and still the same reaction. It’s hard to evaluate product performance when you try to avoid using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are under 5 feet 8 inches tall you cannot see inside the microwave while cooking because a large part of the glass door is blacked out.
Also note that control board readout at botton, fan speed and light, is unreadable but does not affect preformance.
Another problem that happened 1 time was that after heating coffee for 45 sec. the readout gave a code for overheated thermistor and unit wouldn't work. If this happens to you just unplug the unit for 1 min. and reset the board. Other than this it works good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave looks quite good, but it feels rough. When you open and close the door, it's not smooth and makes a loud sound. The touch pad isn't sensitive. I have an LG refrigerator, which works really well, which is the reason for purchasing this LG over-the-range microwave. I have to say, unfortunately, this time it's disappointing.

Stopped Working

Microwave oven stopped working. Tried heating something up this morning and as soon as hit start ... it started for half a second and then quit and all lights on the unit went off. I turned off the breaker to the unit for about a half an hour and turned back on to see if it would reset. It did not. Then around lunch time it started working again. Tried using again a couple hours later and it was not functioning again.

I hate to hear about the trouble you are having with your microwave and I would be more that happy to assist you. I can understand how frustrating it would be to have invested in an appliance and to be having issues with it. If you would, please send us a direct message via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/LGUSSupport or Twitter @LGUSSupport so I can gather the necessary information from you. ^AB

I am very satisfied with my purchase but I need a second light bulb for cooking and the window is too small or too high within the unit. I am 5'6" and I have to stand on my tip toes to see inside.

Works Well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave works well heating food but has some design flaws. First the window on the door is mostly shaded. There is only a smaller rectangle that you can't see through as the microwave installs over the stove. In addition, the display that has the numbers and selection words is recessed and you cannot read the information unless you take several steps back. Unless you are a really tall person, I would not recommend this product.
Pros: Performance

Can burn you!

I've had this unit for a year. If you operate the downlight and leave it on for 30 minutes or so and then touch the glass plate inside the microwave, I guarantee you'll get burned. Why in the world would they not use LED type bulbs in this unit or some type of bulb that doesn't heat up the entire floor of the microwave. Also you better be tall or have a ladder if you want to monitor the item you're cooking because of the way the window is made. That may have been done for safety--I don't know--but it makes it very difficult to see what you're cooking/heating.
