we bought this dryer maybe 2 years ago.it is great and does a wonderful job when it is working. we are on our second round of heating elements though. i wish i would have researched more.

Cheap and a waste of money

bought 2 years ago. the heater died. cost to repair was the same amount we payed for entire dryer. samsung refused to cover the repair. "1 yr coverage only". samsung has lost 2 very loyal customers.

Bad Design

i have had this dryer for 4 years i clean filter with every use but the design of the filter area allows the lint to still go through. my heating element burnt out after only 4 years causing the dryer to no longer heat up and there was lint all in the motor and heating element and in places where lint shouldn't get to. worked really good but this is a design flaw in my opinion that will cause this dryer to need repair a lot sooner than it should.

unfortunately, not a pleasant experience with this dryer. constantly malfunctioning within the first year causing us to be without a dryer for almost 3 weeks now.

Worked great for a little while

i really would have loved the product to work for years. disappointed that after only 3 years i had to have the belt replaced, now it no longer heats and i'm sure the heating element is bad. not worth the expense of repair when i could buy a new one for the same price of repairs. my whirpool lasted me 20 years. i'm 4/5 years into this samsung. i bought the washer and dryer as a pair and had to return the washer due to a recall, now the dryer is a problem, really disappointing.

Doesn't last long

we bought the dryer and paid for the 5 year extended warranty. we had to have a repair because the heating element wasn't working after a few years (thank goodness for the extended warranty) then about 1 month beyond the 5 year extension the heating element died again. this time we opted not to repair and go for a different brand. i would have given it one star but when it was working it worked well and had a lot of nice options.

Expensive product, "POOR" Design

this dryer is a model #dv45h7000ewa2, serial#0aha5bbha02334x. i bought this very expensive dryer three(3) years ago and on the third anniversary the lights came on but nothing worked. i had a very expensive ten(10) year warranty so after one and a half weeks later a repairman came to fix it. he explained to me why these dryers break down so soon was instead of making part # 002245853 & 002244186 out of metal you cheaped out and made it out of plastic. so for an extra dollar in materials and manufacturing i have to get this thing repaired every three(3) years. really!!!!.

Buyer beware

manufactured 2017 bought brand new may 2019 we have replaced the heating element at least 3 times. it recently started making a noise like there were a bunch of shoes in it. (which there definitely is not) there is a huge chunk of metal out of the drum. how/when? we have no idea. very soon we will be replacing all of our appliances and will not be buying samsung anything
