I just bought this case for my gs4. I dropped my phone and the phone itself did not crack but inside the phone was shattered and I needed to buy a new phone.
I will not be using this case again and I would not recommend this case.

This is a good, protective case. The only negative I have found on this case is the back is slippery. It will slip off anything.

I purchased this OtterBox because of the name & what I thought would be a quality case. Unfortunately, for the price, I don't believe I received what I was hoping for.
I carry my phone in my pocket, and there are numerous times where I take the phone out of my pocket & the case is pulling off.
Also, I'm not a fan of how smooth the back is...I think I was hoping that there'd be more rubber on the back so that when I set it down it doesn't slide around. The only way I can do that is to put it face down, but then I can't see notifications when they come up, I'd have to flip it over. A small inconvenience, but for the price I was hoping for more.
I thought with the OtterBox name it would be better, but I think next time I'll just go with something less expensive. I was expecting more for my money.

After dropping 3 Galaxy phones, S3 & S4 with no insurance, using the Samsung cover that looks like a tablet cover, it offered NO protection from dropping it on the screen, and it tipped it that way when put down. I researched and found the OtterBox was by far the best. I have had it now for a month and no damage!! I love the new colors and the sleeker Symmetry series. I wish I would have gotten one when I upgraded from my Blackberry.

I really like my Symmetry protective cover for my Galaxy S4. It's pretty, fairly slim (not bulky), and the rubber sides make it nice to grip plus it bounces if I do happen to drop it. The only downside is no protective cover for the screen - so it is possible the screen may break if it lands on a pointy object or the corner of something. Generally the sides of the cover come up and over the screen just enough to prevent the screen from hitting the floor if it is dropped.
Pros: High quality, Durable, nice rubber on sides to grip, nice design
Cons: no screen protector

This really is a great case. It is a lot less bulky than some other cases I have seen, including some other OtterBoxes, but is bulky enough to protect my phone. I also love the colour choices! They are cute and trendy.

The only negative is the cost of shipping to Canada... Come on OtterBox, Canucks have cell phones too!

I have the Otterbox Defender Series cover for my Samsung Galaxy S4 and I really like it, but in some instances, it is a little too large so I switch back and forth from one to the other.
