Haven't tried to scan yet, but the installation was very easy. just had to ignore the error messages from Microsoft.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got my new Epson scanner ahead of time and have used it for important and not so important document
scans and I love it. The easy hook up on one of my laptops makes my projects more efficient.

Great Scanner

Got this scanner to scan old family pictures. It is compact, works off the USB port (no other power required!) and is very portable. Makes it great for this kind of work. Have scanned dozens of pictures and many documents. Very pleased!

Doesn't Work!

This scanner was delivered today. I had to download the software multiple times just to get it to complete. I even tried to download the software form the internet. It would unzip the file and then shut down. I finally got the software downloaded only to plug the scanner into my computer, and it does absolutely nothing. It doesn't turn on, it certainly doesn't scan, nothing. This will be going back tomorrow!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am very pleased with this scanner. I've scanned quite a few old photographs and it works great. I have always been pleased with the quality of Epson products.

I bought this item more than a month ago. Have scanned old pictures and have quality photos on my computer now. I've done several documents also and loved the quality. Simple to use for this non-techie.
