Less then 2 years old.
I came home to a burning smell and after looking all over I noticed a zapping sound in the microwave.
I unplugged before it burnt down the house..

Fails from temperature overload.

I have had two of these microwaves and both overloaded/overheated after I cooked in oven at same time I was using microwave with fan going. Internal thermostats fail. Seems to be a design issue from Samsung, since its a common problem when I searched on line.

Microwave stopped working after 3 years. Pitiful. Another Samsung in our other rental home had defects prior to 3 years old. Quality issues for sure.

Going strong after 8 years

I’ve had this microwave for 8 years and have never had a problem with it. It’s easy and intuitive to use. Reliability is strong and performance consistent (can’t say the same for my other Samsung products — especially my refrigerator).
I would recommend this to a friend!

This microwave is ok, it finally died, always tripped my circuit breaker. Won’t be buying Samsung in general because their customer service & product is terrible.

Great except for very loud pop!

I've had this model for about 4 years and all in all it's a good product, except that when you start it, it makes a VERY LOUD POP and you can see a spark in the digital display. And I mean very loud! I'm finally sick of it and I am getting ready to buy a new one since it doesn't make sense to get it repaired as it would cost as much as a new one.

Are you serious, Samsung?!?

It sounds crazy but I am furious I was stupid enough to assume anyone would make a microwave that required you to hit “start” after the “add 30 seconds” button. I HATE this thing because of it! Do you know how many times I need to hit that button every day?! It’s lunacy. We spent half the day installing it and I am seriously considering replacing it with another brand.

Sasha, we appreciate you voicing your experience with the "ADD 30 SEC. BUTTON" feature of the microwave. Adding 30 sec to something already in the microwave is also possible while it is in progress.

Microwave works fine - fan is insanely loud

Microwave works fine, but range fan is insanely loud. We have a great room with kitchen, dining, and living all within the same sightline and earshot. This range fan makes conversation impossible in all three spaces at once.
Do not recommend if you intend to use the range fan.
