Garbage !

this is the worst samsung purchase , they can make some outstanding electronic products but when it comes to this microwave its absolute garbage. i have had this product repaired twice with the warranty - i paid for labor and after a few months the same thing happenned again. they came out again , oh by the way dont expect them to arrive on time i spent an entire day waiting, and here i am again with the same issue. i live a lone and i use it once a day for my meal prep guess thats too much for this product.

Should have listened to my niece.

3.5 years ago we remodeled our kitchen and replaced 4 appliances with samsung, including this microwave. my niece warned us not to buy samsung as she had bad experience. however, we did not listen to her and went ahead with the purchase. since there were so many bad reviews, we purchased 3 yrs extended warranties. the extended warranty expired on 10/20 and on 4/21, the microwave stopped working. it sounded like busted magnetron. samsung told us that magnetron warranty is for 10 years but we have to pay for the labor. which i am sure will be atleast $150. they will not just ship the magnetron so we could replace it ourselves. totally disappointed with the microwave and the service.

Don't buy this

like other reviewers it seems i have been hit with the unreliability of samsung products. we have had this micro, along with a full compliment of other appliances from samsung (range, fridge, dishwasher, etc) and have come to learn that they will only last as long as the warranty and not much longer. our microwave just stopped heating the other day so i called in for a service check only to find out that its already out of warranty. the out of pocket cost will be greater than buying a new one, ever before knowing what's wrong with it. then after they have finished trouble shooting the issue i'll have to cover parts and labor.....fantastic. what ever happened to companies standing behind the quality of their products? ? do not buy samsung!!!!!

this is the worst microwave i have ever owned. purchased in july 2019/ eleven months after purchase the sensor on the door stopped working. it was under warranty and it was fixed. yesterday it stopped heating. ge microwave lasted 12 years, this crap didn't make it to 2 years. do not purchase samsung microwave!! the "chat" assistance directed me to troubleshoot why it doesn't work....problem unsolved, no reason for malfunction. at this point just throwing this crap away.

Functional microwave

this is a functional microwave. i wouldn't say that it is perfect but it does the job. it is functional, yet bulky. it cooks well and evenly. it is pretty quiet and easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stopped working after almost 2 years

the microwave itself was very nice and worked good. however, after almost 2 years it stopped working and almost caught on fire. we used it to reheat some food and noticed that the display seemed warm for no reason. about an hour later, we opened the microwave to use it again and the inside had heated up to several hundred degrees and the display was untouchable without burning yourself. we quickly unplugged it, and was glad that we noticed it before the unit caught on fire.
i would not recommend using this microwave and am very disappointed in samsung appliances. we had a samsung stove overheat a few years back as well. it did catch on fire, but luckily was also caught in time. so, i would be concerned with buying any samsung appliances, or at least leaving them plugged in.

Broke down before AND after warranty expired

for the money you'd think this would be a good product. it isn't! after a few months it stopped heating so i made a warranty call and someone came and replaced the heating mechanism. right after the warranty expired the same thing happened again. i'm not spending another dime to fix this. i'll buy a different brand, which is unfortunate because i replaced every appliance with samsung. do not buy this microwave!

we've had this microwave for 3.5 years now, and have never loved it. works perfectly, and i love the dark interior. however, i have little peccadilloes that to this day still make me wish we had not chosen this unit... buttons can be hard to push/register (even after 3+ years), the 30-seconds button doesn't doesn't start automatically (you have to hit the start button too), door always seems to be a bit crooked, and the fingerprints... good heavens, it constantly needs cleaned.
