i just bought this microwave so i do not have a lot of input. i will say i would like to have had a manual included so that i could learn how to use the features without having to google it. you really have to push hard on the button areas to get a response. the metal shelf placement does not allow enough room for a coffee cup on top of it or below it so we had to remove it, bummer. the vent noise is okay unless you use it on the highest level. i do like the brightness of the lights for cooking on the back burners and i like the eco option. it looks good and hopefully will stand the test of time.
Pros: has lots of options
Cons: bright lighting and strong venting

First, I have to state: this is a great looking microwave. The stainless finish gives a kitchen that "Food Network" look. I purchased this microwave to replace one from 1993 of a much lower wattage. After removing the old microwave, drilling holes (per included template), & getting the new one installed, I noticed the shrouding / outer cover of the new microwave is not stiff enough. Let me explain: The outside of the 1993 microwave was steel. The top bolts simply pulled the microwave up flush with the cabinet & boom, you were done. The new Samsung is made out of something much more supple than the steel & there appears to be no reinforcement under the outer cover. Tightening the top bolts pulls the microwave cover up to the cabinet, but since the material is not stiff enough, it leaves a gap in the middle (between the two top bolts. see photo.). To some, this is not a big deal & not "that" noticeable, however if you're like me with old cabinets that are a bit shallow, you can see the "rippled" area at the front of the microwave. Operation: The microwave works well at cooking, the popcorn button appears to be very accurate with Orville Reddenbocker's, & we have used the 'melt - soften' feature quite a bit. Downsides: IF YOU ARE COOKING AND ATTEMPTING TO USE THE VENT - the microwave will automatically adjust your vent to the lowest speed. Again, to some this may not be a big deal. For our family, however, we often cook on the stove (with the vent on high) and boil water in the microwave to make sweet tea. This automatic vent speed change is not ideal, especially when we are cooking / boiling and need the vent on high. YOU CANNOT USE THE TIMER AND COOK AT THE SAME TIME. This was a shock, as our 1993 microwave was able to handle this. We would often microwave leftovers & use the microwave timer to time something else. Overall, the new Samsung microwave has functioned well for the 2 - 3 weeks we've had it. I will update if something else crops up. Additional Note on install: I installed this microwave twice to double-check my template holes & the placement of the rear bracket, convinced I was doing something wrong. However, some relatives of ours had a higher-priced Samsung microwave professionally installed...and it had the uneven appearance also. It was just not as noticeable on the deeper cabinets.
Pros: professional look, cool features, four vent settings
Cons: outer shroud not rigid enough, can't cook & use timer simultaneously, vent speed auto-lowered when cooking

The microwave fit perfect and was super easy to install. Did have to make some changes to the motor due to not having an exhaust but instructions were included and was able to modify it to fit my needs. Quick and easy change. Have ample space for cooking and cooks perfectly.
Pros: Lightweight

Don't waste your money!

I hate my microwave!
You can not use the kitchen timer while running the microwave and you can not run the microwave while using the timer! I've owned several other brands of microwaves and NEVER had that problem before.
The "Melt" and "Soften" programs do not work properly. The soften doesn't soften and the melt explodes the butter all over the inside of the microwave.
The "buttons" on the control pad are so hard to push that it takes a few attempts.
It breaks my heart that this microwave is so awful. I really thought it would be as wonderful as my Samsung televisions are.
