Disappointed in the product

i was wiping off the microwave the second week we had it and the g from the samsung logo wiped off! that was a little concerning. then the serial wiped off (i assume from the grease?). this is a microwave designed to go over the stove, so it's going to get dirty. finally, the door latch broke-rendering the microwave completely useless. the icing on the cake was when samsung told us they can't help us because the serial number is not legible. we have the receipt, not good enough.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

bought this microwave about 13 months ago, was good until now. still heats up but smells like an internal circuit board is burning up. no wonder samsung doesnt warranty this microwave for 12 months. worst microwave

Bad purchase

was really happy w my purchase until one day it started to over heat and stopped working.
ofcouse just a few months after the 1 yr warranty experied. i trusted samsung because inhave other appliances of the same brand. now im wondering if my stove, fridge and dishwasher are next.

Two Stars for Two Years of Life

bought new in the fall of 2018 to replace a 13yr old ge microwave.
looks good and worked well for almost 2yrs. began flickering on and off until it would no longer power on. checked connections and found a loose connector on one of the thermostats. spent $20 and waited 1.5 weeks for a new thermostat, unfortunately the new thermostat did not help. all fuses and connections are good and it's getting power, not sure why it won't power on anymore. think it's time to cut my loses and find replacement. judging from some of the other reviews this does not appear to be a reliable model. very disappointing when a much longer life is expected from a brand like samsung.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Died after two years

this was a great microwave while it worked. unfortunately, one day it started making a whirring sound when the unit wasn't actually microwaving anything. when we tried to microwave, it sounded normal but it wouldn't heat anything up. because it was outside of the 1 year warranty, we would have had to pay someone to come out and fix it. that would have costed as much as a new one. i bit the bullet and got a new samsung because i really liked this model and i like look with our other samsung appliances. if the new microwave dies after a couple of years, i won't buy another samsung.

Great features, while it lasts

this has great features, but it lasted 11 months and the magnetron died. i paid to have professionally installed, which was nice. however, it does not heat any longer and it took over 10 hours (so far) to get the warranty honored. it looks like i will have to ship it in to be fixed, not sure if i am paying for shipping myself. also, looks like i will have to uninstall myself. ugh. look for something else.

Excellent Buy

i purchased this microwave over a year ago to replace a non functioning hood. it works wonders! there are 4 fan settings that really get the job done. what i love most is the finish... black stainless steel. beautiful! i love that it's fingerprint resistant, because i have 3 children and you know how bad stainless steel can get with the fingerprints. but that's not a worry of mine. definitely will replace with another samsung microwave when this one's life cycle ends.

excited to have this microwave as everything i own is a samsung. this is the worst samsung i have owned over the years. microwave started making strange noise just after a month of use. been trying to get samsung to help for months and finally, microwave just quit working. i am mad and disappointed
