Home after surgery- the best medicine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I sent the pixie bundle and a selection of coffees to a dear friend recovering from surgery. She has a fancy, minimalist kitchen, so I knew she would not want a larger machine.
Her home health care worker suggested a cup of coffee to get her blood pressure up- it worked AND provided her with one of her favorite treats- a real cappuccino!

Long Time Raving Fan!

I’ve had my Pixie for over 2 years. Love how small and efficient it is. It’s my 4th Nespresso machine. Bought the first one in 2006. Can’t imagine living without my perfect lattes and cappuccinos. These machines perform flawlessly for years and years.I even gave one as a gift to a client.😁

Old is Better

I am reviewing an old Pixie. Mine works like a charm. I find that some of the capsules can get stuck and explode. After about 9 years this started happening so it has nothing to do with me. I use only the short button for espresso and the long for running the rest of the water through to clean after use. I have descaled from time to time. Getting back to the water-I refrigerate the tank half full each night then have two or three capsules in the morning. Repeat. Parts can wear out of course. But this is the only machine that takes time to heat the water. This is all key to a good short espresso using the stronger capsules. The smaller machines I’ve had and used are not as good.

The water container’s prongs that hold it in place AND the lid have broken over time. NO WAY TO BUY A REPLACEMENT.Am I supposed to to throw away a perfectly working making due to lack of parts?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
