Nespresso Machines Aren't Reliable

Having both the Pixie and Vertuo Pro, they've all broken or had problems within or soon after the warranty. I was able to get the Pixie repaired/replaced but they all leaked. After a couple years and more issues, we decided to replace it with the Vertuo Pro for the coffee option. It lasted past the 1 year warranty before issues arose in that version too and now, before the 3 year mark, it's completely dead. We've religiously descaled and cleaned our machines. So while the coffee and convenience are great - these machines aren't a good investment - 1-3 years at best.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using the Pixie daily for 7 years. Great reliable unit. Makes wonderful servings of expresso.

I want to bring it with me wherever I go but I think it's home is best suited for my coffee table. It makes a beautiful creamy, strong start to every morning. I actually think about when I go to bed.

Old faithful Pixie

Our Pixie is now 8 rears old and finally developing issues with production. Have tried factory reset and descaling. It may just be tired and done. We’ve loved this machine and will likely order another.

The perfect answer to my caffeine addiction

Love my Pixie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd Pixie. Good size and I like that it’s made of metal too and not all plastic. I have the carrying case and take it on short vacations. My addiction is lattes and I will make 2-4 a day so my machine gets lots of use. I highly recommend this machine for those who like espresso drinks … hot or cold.

Everything I need and nothing I don't

I've had my Pixie since 2016. I use it regularly (as straight espresso or lungo shots), and I have descaled it a couple times. For a short period it was having trouble determining when to stop dosing water (it would sometimes cut off early, and sometimes send too much). I descaled it, reset the settings, and have had no problems since. It takes up minimal space on the counter, heats up quickly (less than 20 seconds typically), and has automatic power shutoff after a few minutes. It's all the convenience of Nespresso with none of the complicated accessories or cleaning. I love it!
