Great Appliance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this freezer to replace my freezer which served me faithfully for 32 year until one Sunday it decided to leak and die. I love the bright light in my new freezer which makes it so easy to find items. The one negative I have found is that the gasket seal is so tight that I have to really tug at door to get it open. Disclaimer: I weigh only 102 lbs and am only 5” tall. Someone of my size would have a hard time with any appliance! Having a tight seal is definitely a plus, however, because it increases the efficiency and energy savings. All in all, I made a good choice in my purchase.

So Far so Good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The recently purchased freezer works very well and is large enough but not as nice as our previous Kenmore: Shelves are made of wire instead of glass and there is no bin for the bottom shelf - very fortunately the bin from the previous fits in the Frigidaire.
Additionally, the surface is glossy, not coated and the power light is very low - a more visible one would be much easier to notice.

It was been repaired, twice - since May

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would not purchase this appliance again. We would like to return it, but are unable. It has been repaired twice - a new compressor the first time, and a new fan the second time. Let's see if we can finally use it.

Not a long life

Bought freezer in Oct of 2017 and it stopped working in Sept 2019, less than 2 years old. Expected a much longer life than that before a repair was needed.

BEWARE of this Frigidaire freezer model!!!

I Itially we loved this frost free upright freezer but 3 years and 3 months later it stopped running.! Not a good recommendation. Despite the good reviews, all written when customers receive their NEW freezer, and unable to get any recommendations from service companies as to whether it was worth repairing plus they were so busy it was going to take at least 10 days to get a service appointment (this isn’t Frigidaire’s fault but creates a major problem when you have frozen food that you want to protect), we decided to not repair this freezer. We had to go out and buy a mid size chest freezer to prevent the loss of our food anyway. We don’t have room for a chest freezer on a permanent basis but we do have time to rethink and research our options. In the meantime we needed to move the old, failed FRigidaire freezer so I put it on Craiglist for free in case someone wanted to repair it themselves or pay to have it repaired. Instantly I got a reply and our freezer was picked up. He has the SAME FRIGIDAIRE freezer than had failed after 4 years! He is hoping to use the parts from ours to get his freezer working. Good for him but NOT a good recommendation for Frigidaire products. Don’t waste your money unless you want to be shopping again for a new freezer in less than 5 years and after having gone through the trauma and work of trying to salvage the contents of your freezer. BEWARE FRIGIDAIRE! We will be buying another brand of upright freezer!

Great lay out!

I bought this the end of May. After a shaky start Frigidaire sent me the correct shelf to replace the damaged one. Love the baskets as a bad back made it difficult for me to get items off of bottom shelf in my old freezer. The adjustable/removable door shelves are easy to move and clean. The light is also a big plus.
I would recommend this to a friend!
