nice freezer

I bought this freezer about a month ago because of a review in CU. I also was looking for the biggest that would fit down my stairs to in the basement.
Very nice layout with slide out shelves and baskets. Well lit interior. So far it's working fine and keeping the proper temp ( -1.5).
We tend to get a few blackouts during the year, so we'll see how well the cold holding feature works.
One small design problem is that the temp control dial is in the back on the bottom of the unit. Although you only have to adjust it only a few times until you achieve the right temp, it is not convenient.

All I need in a freezer !

A good, solid, attractive freezer. I was surprised at how roomy it actually was. It fit my entire 300 pound pig with room to spare. My first electric bill was only 2 weeks but I didn't see any bump up at all!

We bought this around Memorial Day and couldn't be happier. It's roomy and I really like the drawers and the door shelves are nice too.

Great freezer

We love it. It's big enough to store things in a way that we can find what we want in a hurry. The size, bins and baskets help sort kinds of food where they're best suited. I especially like what it told me about putting ice cream on the door. It keeps it cold, but soft.

I bought this refrig to replace one I had for 40 years. So far this has been a good replacement. Just what we needed and it keeps all of our foods in perfect condition. I particularly like the wire shelves.

Died in 6 Months

We loved the freezer space allocation of this model and were excited to get a freezer that was more energy efficient. When we received the freezer it worked great. But the compressor died in less that 6 months, and we had to throw away over $200 of food. A big disappointment and financial loss!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchase of Frigidaire Freezer.

The extreme summer heat creates a "HOT" condition inside our garage which
made our old freezer run all the time, causing condensing ice build up. That freezer was not frost free, creating the necessity of frequent defrosting and with
the increased operating cost made us realize we needed to purchase a new
freezer. After researching several different brands of freezers, we decided that the frost free 17 ft. Frigidaire was our best option. Now, after three months, we still
have the "HOT" garage but with a new smooth running, frost free Frigidaire freezer. We love it! Our electric bill is less, and now, no more messy
defrosting and cleaning the freezer! The Frigidaire freezer was the perfect solution for us!

Best freezer we have owned out of three

This freezer keeps the meat from the cow we butchered colder than any other freezer we have owned. I am more than pleased.
