Like the size, but constantly full of frost and doesn’t keep ice cream frozen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this freezer in our new home since the end of May. I love the size of a full freezer, even though it isn’t as big as I anticipated in my head, since it is only counter depth, and no store around here carries it in person so I had to order it sight unseen. That being said, I can store a good amount in it, and love having the 2 individual fridge/freezer units side by side. Unfortunately, the amount of frost that builds up in the frost-free freezer is unexpected and disappointing. I have tried to make sure that air is able to circulate, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Also, my ice cream is constantly soft and barely frozen, no matter where in the freezer I try to store it, and my frozen veggies always get frosty. I turned down the temperature to -5 to see if it would solidify the ice cream. Then I put a thermometer in there to test it, and I have yet to see the thermometer read a negative number, and it’s been in there for over a month, and also tested to be accurate. Even first thing in the morning the lowest reading I see is 5 or. 6 degrees, but the ice cream still won’t freeze solid. All in all, it is a pretty freezer next to my fridge. Disappointing in performance overall, who wants ice cream that melts the second you scoop it, and frozen veggies full of ice?

Horrible experience with this freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this piece of junk single door freezer in August 2019. Thought it was so terrific and looks so good with the matching refrigerator and trim kit. Love the storage and how both units look. Then the noise started in the freezer. Just a little whirring at first. Now it gets so loud it's terribly distracting. We have a large room that has our living room and kitchen in one room. We've had numerous visitors asking what in the world that noise is. So, a couple of weeks ago I contacted the customer service for Frigidaire to as for a service call to find out what's going on. Was put on hold 40 minutes waiting for a rep, only to be hung up on, not once but twice. A few days later I called back, waited on hold 30 minutes and spoke with a very nice lady. She was very sympathetic, but said she could not send anyone out, because this freezer has a history of making a "slight high pitched humming noise". I explained that that was certainly not disclosed to me when I purchased this unit. Sorry, can't do anything about it. So she sent me to a woman who was supposedly in the corporate office of Frigidaire. She was all but rude. Said there wasn't anything she could do about it. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Very happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for a month and I am very pleased with this freezer. It's roomy, ice machine works quite well and for a big appliance, relatively quiet. We hooked the ice machine up to a reverse osmosis system. For 2 days after we turned it on, the temperature alarm would sound at 4 am. It stopped when we flipped the breaker. Don't know why, but we were happy it settled down - we were starting to get worried.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Extremely Noisy

This is the LOUDEST Fridge/Freezer I've EVER heard. I've been in retail grocery business before and commercial units were not this loud. Seems to be more the Freezer than the Fridge. Called the local Frigidaire serviceman out and he said there's nothing he can do. That this is just the way this unit is. Along with our open kitchen/LR layout, the noise and echo make it impossible to enjoy yourself with company over. I can't imagine a reputable company would make a unit this loud !!! HELP !!!!!!

great concept, improvements needed

A friend referred me to this product which is great and I think a great leap for Frigidaire. Great product, great look and at a reasonable price. However, the designers forgot to have an option for ice on the door. Will consider for purchase if this feature is made available!
