I personally would not waste money on a "regular" HP ink ctg when I can get the XL version. It has twice the ink, lasts at least twice as long or longer and you get a better bang for your buck. The ink is extremely professional looking after printing. LOVE my new printer and the HP 951XL ink ctgs.

XL cartridges last WAY longer than regular ones. I use our HP printer at home, mainly for personal use, and my cartridge lasted almost a year.

Oh, the ink works real fine! However, I'm real concerned on the prices of the products. As retirees, stuck on a fixed income, those ink prices strike a good noticeable dent on our Social Security pensions. We are forced to be spareingly users of our printer so we can pay our other normal bills.
