Oral-B Pro 7000

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this toothbrush! I literally go to the dentist every six months to the day and when I went for my most recent cleaning my hygienist and dentist noticed a significant difference! Using the Oral-B Pro 7000 for the first time instantly sent my heart fluttering with joy and excitement, it made my feel like my teeth were getting their own mini "tooth massage"! I now get that super clean feeling you get when getting your teeth cleaned at the dentist three times a day and I couldn't be happier!!!!

Oral B 7000

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had me new oral B 7000 toothbrush about a week. Lets start with the packaging it was easy to open and had evrything you need. Very easy to put together directions were easy and very discriptive. Took about four hours to fully charge and use for the first time. Love this toothbrush my teeth feel amazing. My ten year old son is using it as well and the timer with the smiley face helps him brush correctly. Now the bad side is that I cannot get the app to work at all with my toothbrush. The Bluetooth will not conect them so I can't use the app.

Blew my mind

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was first being sent this product I thought "Who would spend this much on a toothbrush?" immediately followed by "And why would a toothebrush need bluetooth?" I used it when I got home and my mind exploded!
So there are a few parts here that affect how I rated this product. In it's simplest form it is just a toothbrush and the way it functions as such is amazing. Now I will warn you this is not a normal toothbrush and is far different from the only electric one I ever owned 15 years again. My teeth feel amazing and look so much better than I remember them. Also, they cleaned up some coffee stains for me. Actually it was so impressive that I rescheduled my dentist appointment from that day til a month later just to see my results.
I needed a month because the app that i downloaded on my phone to connect bluetooth to it is keeping my on a pretty strict routine. The app itself is crazy powerful and functions the same as most health apps only better. The data you get is crazy and they have you pick dental goals as well as check in with you and show you graphs of your project. In all honesty this is better than most fitness apps I have seen and I have used at least 4 different trackers. The only drawback to the app was that to see the graphs you have to turn your phone in landscape mode and if you forget that you will aimlessly wander through the app until you remember or just turn your phone on accident.
The toothbrush when you use it is also sync'd to a clock that can conveniently be adhered to your mirror. I thought it was weird that it came with a clock until I read the book and found out that it is recommended to brush your teeth for 2:00. The clock will turn into a stopwatch as soon as you start brushing and will flash one of the four quarters of a circle for every :30. They explain that to pace yourself you should split your mouth into quadrants and then move from one to the next every :30 whne the toothbrush handle lights green and vibrates to remind you. After your 4 quadrants and 2:00 are done, there is another :20 tagged on there for brushing your tongue. When you are done big vibrations and green lights. If at any time during brushing you stop to put more toothpaste or something on it will pause the stopwatch and pick it up again when you start brushing again. Also, if you are pressing on your teeth too hard, the handle will vibrate a little and flash red to let you now to ease off.
Overall, this is the best tooth brushing experience I have ever had and I am actually excited to brush my teeth every day.
In the picture you will notice the cover is cracked, that was an error that occurred with the shipper and shouldn't reflect on this product review.

Great Electric Toothbrush With Bluetooth Connectivity?!?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was happy to trial the new 7000 SmartSeries white electronic toothbrush from Oral-B. Overall, I am happy with the product. I have used it for about 40 days now. One major downfall, however, may make this brush not worth the extra money to upgrade to this top of the line toothbrush.
Many years ago my dentist recommended moving to the Oral-B electric toothbrush. With a modest discount from my dentist and a care package included, I decided to take a chance on an electric toothbrush. This was Oral-B's original Triumph toothbrush. Having owned this brush in the past, many comparisons can be made to the 7000 SmartSeries brush I have been using.
The first major change was the charger and brush head storage. The original brush had a charger that encapsulated the entire bottom of the toothbrush. This made the cleaning of the charger and stand a chore. Now, with a peg that the brush sits on top of, cleanup of grime is a simple wipe. This is opposed to the old charger, which had to be physically removed from the brush holder to be cleaned.
The brush head storage is also improved. The old design had the brush heads circle the charger and toothbrush, which held the brush heads in a vertical position. Again, cleaning any grime was nearly impossible because of the recessed design of these stands. Now, the brush heads are nearly parallel to the countertop (the brushes are inclined slightly to allow drip drying). This makes the cleanup more simplistic, as there are less nooks and crannies to have to clean. The new storage also covers the heads, because who really wants to see the used brush heads anyway? The sacrifice for an easier cleanup is a loss of countertop space. The new charger and holder are larger than the previous version. However, while it has a larger width, the depth of the holder may be smaller than the previous version. This fits on my countertop nicely. Also, locate the charger near an outlet for recharging the toothbrush.
Speaking of charging, though, you may not need to charge it as often as you think. So far the battery life has been amazing. I have only fully charged the toothbrush 3 times in the about 40 days I've had the brush. It holds a charge extremely well. When the battery wore out in my old brush, I wasn't in a position to purchase a new toothbrush. That bummed me out because I feel that my teeth are cleaner with these brushes.
The toothbrush itself has not undergone too many changes from the original. The changes include a visual indication of battery level, Bluetooth indicator, the ability to stand on the charger, and a light on the back of the handle that turns red to indicate excessive pressure on the brush head while operating. To me, I find this light is not useful. You can tell by the slowdown of the motor when excessive pressure is imposed on the toothbrush. The handle has grips that are ergonomically placed and the toothbrush itself isn't overly heavy. A note, if you are moving from a manual to electric toothbrush for the first time, be aware that there is a significant weight change.
The brush heads that are included are okay. I have found the CrossAction brush head to be the best. I was not a fan of the ProWhite brush because of the solid piece of plastic in the center. I also found the Sensitive brush head did not leave my teeth feeling as clean as the CrossAction head. Oral-B has other styles of brush heads that I would be willing to try out.
There are also multiple brushing settings: Daily Clean, Gum Care, Sensitive, Whitening, Deep Clean and Tongue cleaner. The Daily Clean setting is the easiest to use. If one has sensitive teeth, using the sensitive setting with the sensitive brush head could be a great combination. That said, the toothbrush will not remember the last brush setting used. If you use the Deep Clean setting, you would need to press the setting button on the brush four times to get to it. That's four button presses every single time you brush your teeth! That is excessive and can easily be fixed by Oral-B.
The Tongue cleaner setting is pretty awesome. In this setting you are prompted to brush your tongue for 20 seconds, then the remote timer gives you a smiley face. You can continue past 20 seconds, but in my experience this is unnecessary. I haven't been able to clean my tongue this well in years. A manual brush just can't do enough to remove the deposits left behind on your tongue. This is also an exclusive to the SmartSeries 7000 toothbrush.
Speaking of that remote timer, it is a great visual indicator of the time remaining in your brushing regimen. Oral-B calls this the SmartGuide. When you turn on the brush, the timer counts up. When you have finished 2 minutes of brushing the SmartGuide gives you a smiley face to indicate you are done :). You can continue to brush past the 2 minutes if you'd like, the toothbrush will not turn off. After your brushing, the SmartGuide also rates your brushing by stars. If you brush too hard or not for the entire two minutes, you receive less stars. These stars stay on the SmartGuide until your next brushing session, as an encouragement for next time. When the toothbrush is not on the SmartGuide doubles as a clock and a constant smiley face :).
If you travel with your toothbrush, you don't need to take the SmartGuide with you. The brush pulses the motor at each 30 second interval. It gives an unmistakable set of pulses when you are done. Also, for traveling, the SmartSeries 7000 includes a luxurious premium case. Gone are the days of the plastic blue travel case, and in are the days of the nice soft case. There is also a drawstring pouch that you can place the charger and stand in for traveling. Within the nice soft case you can place the toothbrush, without a brush head on it, and two brush heads. There are cutouts for these items. I don't know if I've stated this yet, but the cases that are included are really nice.
With all of these positives how can there be one major downfall that allows me to say that it may not be worth the extra cash to upgrade to the 7000 series? I simply could not connect this toothbrush to my phone! This is the brush's major selling point. Oral-B has an app to help you track your brushing by connecting to your toothbrush via Bluetooth. The only way to sync your phone and brush is through this app. I have tried a countless amount of times to connect and it just doesn't happen. There is no manual method to connect the brush, so the entire smartphone app side of the brush is useless to me.
If you look at the box it has Bluetooth in large letters. With this marketing push, you would expect that the Oral-B app would be updated periodically. It is now November, 2016 and the last update was July 20, 2016! Both Android and iOS have had major operating system upgrades since the last update. I would expect that if you market your toothbrush to connect via Bluetooth, that your app would be up to date and contain a work-around if the auto-connect doesn't work. As such the tracking aspect of the brush could not be utilized and that is disappointing to me. It is hard to recommend upgrading to this brush when the app it heavily relies on is not supported.
Overall, I absolutely love the toothbrush. Functionally it is great. I feel my teeth are cleaner, it has great battery life, the updated charger and brush holder is nice, and I find that I'm more likely to brush my teeth for a full 2 minutes. The Bluetooth connectivity is not there for me, so the extra money for a luxurious case and tongue brushing (really great feature!) may not be worth it. With all of that said, if you are in the market for a new toothbrush, an electric toothbrush is a great choice. Just weigh the possibility of being unable to connect via Bluetooth into your decision when purchasing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time using an electric toothbrush and let me tell you I love it. I was wary at first because I have sensitive gums and I thought it'd be too harsh. It wasn't at all! It has a head for sensitivity and even it's own mode for it. The only downside I've came across so far was the amount of time it took to charge. I love the timer it comes with too. It's helpful with my 2 year old when she goes to brush her teeth with mommy. Definitely recommend everyone to get one for themselves.

I LOVE how clean my teeth feel! :-D

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OVERALL I LOVE THIS TOOTHBRUSH! It does an excellent job of cleaning my teeth. They actually feel cleaner all day than they ever have before. As a bonus, the tracking feature motivates me to keep up good habits. All in all, I'm really happy to have this toothbrush!!!
PROS:
- My teeth feel cleaner than ever!
- It comes with 3 brush heads and 6 different modes. I eventually settled into a routine with the "daily clean" plus the "tongue cleaning" mode but I like that I can have my routine and still change it up every once in a while.
- The brush itself has a nice sleek design: only two buttons which control everything.
- It comes with a SmartGuide (the small clock in the photo) which serves as a display screen. The SmartGuide times you while brushing and tells you what mode you're in. The timer pauses and picks up where you left off if you stop the toothbrush briefly (e.g. for spitting), which is a nice feature.
- The toothbrush has Bluetooth which connects to the Oral B app on your phone to track your brushing sessions. At first I thought a toothbrush with Bluetooth seemed silly, but it turns out that tracking my daily routine really does enforce good habits, so I am really digging the concept.
- The battery lasts more than a week, which is perfect for traveling (It also comes with a nice travel case, so it's ready to go… all that’s missing are the plane tickets!)
CONS:
- The SmartGuide allows you to choose between one 2-minute timer and four 30-second timers (for each quadrant). I like the 2-minute timer better, except it doesn't remember my choice for future sessions, so I have to re-select it each time.
- Unfortunately, I think the app could use some improvement. It doesn't record my sessions correctly if I pause the brush, so I have to wait until the next sync for it to correct. Also, I wish I could edit prior sessions to add things like whether or not I'd flossed (If the app is open it asks you, but if you brush and sync later, there's no way to answer). Finally, I wish the app also showed which mode you were in so you would know the mode if you're traveling without your SmartGuide.
I docked a star because I find the app disappointing, but all in all, I think this is a fantastic toothbrush and would gladly recommend it to a friend!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Oral-B Pro 7000 SmartSeries White Electronic Power Rechargeable Battery Electric Toothbrush with Bluetooth Connectivity for 2 days now and I'm in LOVE!!! I love how you can keep track of your brushing habits through the Oral-B app that it connects to. Also when brushing to hard it lights up so I know to let up. I love the travel case so I can take it with me anywhere! There's honestly nothing I wouldn't recommend about THIS product! VERY user friendly and I enjoy brushing my teeth! Lol
