Does not dry

We bought this model dishwasher about a month ago. It washes fine and is very quiet, however it does NOT dry the dishes. I ran it just before we were out of town for a week and came home to SOAKING WET dishes. I'm not even sure how that's possible, but it is very disappointing.

Thanks for sharing your valuable feedback, hoosiercolts. I recommend making sure that the house water is coming in at 120 degrees, the “Heat Dry” option is selected, you’re using the correct amount of Rinse Aid, and that no heavy mineral or calcium scale is covering the heater. I hope this helps! Please don’t hesitate to reconnect with us directly should you have any other questions or concerns. Kindly, Courtney

Best feature- it runs quietly

I wish that I could say that after upgrading the dishwasher from the one the builder was going to install in my new home that I really like it. The one positive note is that it runs very quietly and has the light on the floor feature when the cycle is finished. The dishes are clean for the most part. Here are the reasons I'm unhappy with it. 1. Even after using the Heat Dry & very hot water, the walls are never dry. The dishes dry, but I have to leave the dishwasher open for 2-3 hours for it to dry out. If I don't there is a terrible odor. I never had that problem with my former dishwasher. In fact, the walls didn't bead with water even if I used the air dry method. I don't understand. 2. I do not like the way the lower rack has the slanted dish holders. None of my plates fit well so therefore I can't get much in the bottom. And, the racks wobble & do not roll out well. I wash more dishes by hand now.
The dishwasher does have a nice stainless finish and is attractive.

I hate to hear about your recent experience with your dishwasher, chatty g. Condensation / Humidity on the interior walls of your dishwasher after your wash cycle has finished is normal. To help minimize the amount of water that collects, I recommend using a Rinse Aid in every load. I hope this helps! Courtney

Made ear piercing whistle noises from the beginning, have had 2 new motors replaced under warranty. Also had update kit put in for another sensor issue. On occasion the control panel locks up and I have to cut the power to get it to reboot. Does not clean well either. Sometimes it doesn't even dissolve the soap.

Hey Jostro, thank you for sharing your review. I understand that you feel that the dishwasher is not drying the dishes properly. I would recommend checking a few things, check to ensure the water coming in is at least 120 degrees, do you have heat dry cycle selected, and are you using rinse aid? I realize that as a consumer you feel that these are not reasons for your dishwasher to underperform. Over the last few years Energy Star has issued stricter standards for water and energy usage which can increases the need for Rinse Aid to dry dishes. Please feel free to reconnect if you should have any additional questions. Thank you, Jennifer

It is very quiet that's good but doesn't clean the dishes well at all.....I tried not rinsing the dishes, that was awful so now I have to rinse completely off before putting them in and a lot of things come out greasy. I'm pretty disappointed.
Response from frigidaire.comBy Courtney, Online Outreach Specialist, August 14, 2016
I hate to hear you're disappointed in your dishwasher, Mamash50. I recommend making sure that the water is coming out at 120 degrees and that fresh detergent is being used and the dishes are not blocking the spray arms. You may also find that using a longer wash cycle may be helpful depending on the amount of soil on your dishes. I hope this helps! Please feel free to reconnect with us should you have any other questions or concerns. Courtney

I've owned this dishwasher about 3 months, and could not be more disappointed by it. Thankfully, I did not purchase this unit, it came with the house a purchase. But, it was still brand new. Dishes do NOT come out clean. Even after the heated dry cycle, dishes also come out dripping wet (plastic, glass, ceramic, everything). Dishes also come out with chunks of white stuff stuck to them. Tried different detergents, didn't fix the problem. Water softener, not the problem. Cleaned out the washer, did a cycle with vinegar, still didn't fix the problem. Wash and rinse dishes by hand before using the dishwasher, still didn't fix the problem. I can't wait to get rid of the washer and replace it with one that actually works!

Want Clean Dishes...Do Not Purchase the Machine
on August 11, 2016

The dishwasher was purchased in April and has never worked properly. No matter the amount of pre-washing or special detergents, the dishes are never clean and have to be hand washed in order to use. Moreover, the entire control panel had to be replaced last week. I am currently saving money to buy a replacement which will be anything except Frigidaire.
