[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to have service already to repair broken lower shelf bracket. Disappointed.

Nice looking and great features, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this dishwasher for 2 months and have been pleased with it except for one thing: it doesn't dry the items completely. I have to manually wipe dry almost every item as I unload the dishwasher. This quality of dishwasher should have a better drying cycle. Otherwise, I'm pleased with the sound level (very quiet), the wine glass clasps, and the beautiful smudge proof exterior.

Welcome to the Frigidaire family, Sus4! So glad to hear how much you are enjoying your new dishwasher. Here are some ideas for you that can positively impact your drying effectiveness. The “sweet” spot for water temperature is between 120-125 degrees (at the water heater) for the best cleaning and drying potential. Ensure you run the water in the sink until it is hot (like you do before getting in the shower). Don’t forget the rinse aid (it really makes a difference)! Using the high temp wash or sanitize can also improve cleaning and drying performance. I hope this helps! Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have only been using the dishwasher for one week, but it seems to be doing a very good job. It is easy to operate, and the interior is great for loading everything.

Poor cleaning of dishes and breaks down

I purchased the dishwasher 1.5 months ago and have had it repaired 3 times. New latch and control board. I washed my dishes, and there was a slight crease film and one of my sons sippy cups. I wash it with pots and pans setting, and hottest water possible. When the dishes were all dried the sippy cup at exactly the same amount of grease on it as when it went in. I'm having to wash my dishes with soap and water prior to putting them in the dishwasher. Why do I have a dishwasher if I wash my dishes by hand first

Hello Badbro, I do apologize for the difficulties you’re dishwasher may be causing you at this current time.

We do suggest to make sure the water temperature to the appliance is set between 120*-140*F. This is the minimum temperature range that the water supply must reach in order for the detergent to dissolve completely. Also, make sure the filter trap at the bottom of the unit is free of debris. You may also want to clean the unit by running a hot water/dry cycle with no dishes inside, and throw in 2 cups of white vinegar in the unit. This cleans the sprayer arms, and the unit and also deodorizes the unit.

If you are still seeing film and food particles on the dishes after checking your water supply, and cleaning the unit, please try changing detergent's to a gel or liquid detergent. Powder tends to build up and corrode parts of the unit. If none of this proves to be successful we would suggest contacting an authorized service provider to schedule a physical assessment and diagnosis of the appliance.

Hope this helps!

Nice looking and cleans well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher 6 months ago and had been very happy with it. Problem lately is the top rack keeps coming of the track on the left hand side when you pull it out. The wheels are very flimsy and cheap. To put it back on track you have to remove the plastic end piece then slide the track back in place and then snap the cap back on. Is there a recall or repair that can be done?

Thank you for sharing your dishwasher experience, fscott. I can just imagine how frustrating having the rack come off track has been for you. Please open the dishwasher and look at the left side wall with the empty rack still inside (a flashlight might help). Please check to see that the rack slide (metal bar) is between the tub rollers that are connected to the dishwasher wall (on the top and bottom of the metal slide both in front and rear). Next, please see if the wheels on the rack itself are correctly inside the slide’s guide edges (both top and bottom), both in the front and in the rear. Do the axles (the “leg” that connects the wheels to the rack) seem bent in any way? Lastly, double check that the dishwasher has been installed correctly, and is level and plumb. If this hasn’t helped, or you have questions, please reconnect with us directly by calling our Customer Engagement Center at 877-435-3287 for assistance. The hours for the Customer Engagement Center are 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday, and Saturday 8am to 6pm EST. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher about a month ago and I installed it myself. It was easy to set up and operate. We have all 4 appliances matching now and so far I'm well satisfied with all of them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I are very disappointed with this dish washer. The dishes are not clean at the end of cycle. There is residue, food particles, left on the dishes and bowls and the coffee cups on the top shelf don't come clean. Also the soap packets don't always dissolve.
We had one service call. The repairman did something to the hose. He said we were getting backwash after the rinse. It seemed to have helped a bit, there is no dirty water in the reservoir at the end of cycle, but we still find that not all the dishes are clean all the time. It makes me feel that they are never clean.

Very Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 6 months ago, and haven't been happy with it at all. My old dishwasher of 10 years - cleaned dishes much better. For this Frigidaire, if the dishes aren't washed before running them through a 1 1/2 hr cycle, they do not come out clean. The top rack is the worst - residue is left on about every dish, even the inside of the dishwasher door is coated with residue,.....and that's after the cycle is complete. What's the deal? I'd leave pictures, but the add photo button on this review is not working. Then there's the design of the bottom rack ~ it's awful. Three different sets of prongs sticking up to stack dishes ~ each set is a different width, so it's impossible to even put two cookie sheets in it. This dishwasher looks great from the outside, but so disappointed in the performance, especially for a Frigidaire. I would appreciate someone from Frigidaire to contact me, to see how this huge disappointment can be resolved. I have other Frigidaire appliances that are awesome, this just isn't even close. Thank you.

Diamond Lady, thank you for sharing your dishwasher experience with us. Residue can be left over food particles. For some reason the food materials are not pumping out of your dishwasher with the water. Either there is a clogged filter, a clogged spray arm, or some buildup of crud in the inside. Here are some ideas that can positively impact your cleaning and drying effectiveness. The “sweet” spot for water temperature is between 120-130 degrees for the best cleaning and drying potential. If you are uncertain if your water is the appropriately hot, check your water heater's temperature setting. To help get the hottest water to your dishwasher, always let the water run in your sink until it’s hot (like you do before getting in the shower). This "primes the pump", it gets hotter water to your dishwasher faster. Your dishwasher uses about 3-4 gallons per cycle, limiting the opportunity the water has to warm up if it doesn’t start off hot enough. Cycle times are approximate and will vary with options selected. Hot water is necessary to activate dishwasher detergent and melt fatty food soils. An automatic sensor will check the incoming water temperature and, if it is not hot enough, the cycle will be lengthened for automatic water heating in the main wash and final rinse of all cycles. This happens even when the hi-temp wash option has not be selected. When hi-temp wash option is selected, an even higher temperature will be reached to handle heavier soil loads. Don’t forget to use rinse aid, it really makes a difference. In hard water areas (like Nebraska) you will need to increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed (page 15 in your Owner’s Manual). Be sure to clean the filters regularly (page 16 in your Owner’s Manual). Is the heater (inside on the bottom of the dishwasher) covered by a heavy mineral or calcium scale (looks like white spots on the heater)? If it is, start a cycle with no dishes in it. Once it has finished the initial fill, add 1 cup of white vinegar to the bottom and let it finish the cycle. Nebraska has very hard water, some granular detergents can combine with hard water minerals and form a residue that can stick to the interior of the dishwasher and the dishes. Try an all in one pack or gel detergent. Take out the spinning arms and rinse them thoroughly in the sink. You will notice if they do not spin freely when they are in the dishwasher. If the dirt is always on the same part of the top shelf, there may be one or more choked jets. Should you have any questions, please reconnect with our Customer Engagement Center at 877-435-3287 or 706-860-4110. The hours for the Customer Engagement Center are 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday and Saturday 9am to 6pm EST. Your friendly Frigidaire lady, Ruth
