Great dishwasher- but has a rusting problem!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased all new LG appliances back in 2016 (stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher). All the appliances have been great- except for the rust problem with the upper rack in our dishwasher. Definitely a problem!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the combo set of LG kitchen appliances almost 5 years ago. All have been great products. Pros: Washing cycle is extremely quiet, barely audible. Filter is easy to clean. Clean cycle is generally good, with only maybe a few items having food particles remaining about 1 in 10 cycles. Capacity is great, I can generally stuff it full and still get a great clean.
Cons: The "black stainless" finish is essentially a color layer on top of the silver finish, and over time it peels off at the edges, exposing the underlying finish. The coating on the dishwasher racks eventually will eat through and rust. I've had to replace all 3 racks recently.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything works fine. There is one problem with the middle spray arm. If you close the door with the center rack out and the spray arm perpendicular to the front you will break the spray arm off. I did that and had to get a new one.
