Not worth the expense

I was disappointed in this dishwasher. It does not wash or rinse as well as my older LG dishwasher. The soap door regularly creates a suction with a gel soap which means the soap door does not open, so you always have to double check before putting dishes away. It also creates a soap build up inside the washer by the soap dispenser, even with a rinse aid. The third rack just takes up extra room that could have been for the taller dishes and glasses. Just a gimmick that looks like it would be useful, but really it's a pain to fill and end up using the utensil baskets anyway.

I HATE this Dishwasher!

Where to start with all the things I dislike about this dishwasher . . . for starters my BIGGEST dislike is that the bottom rack will not ever slide into place. Often after it is loaded I have to pick it up, full of dishes and try to get it back on track. The top rack for utensils usually falls out of its slot and all the utensils falls down with it. As others have stated, the tines in the 2nd & 3rd racks don't fit glasses or plates and are so flimsy they fall over all the time. As far as I can tell there is also no light to let you know if the dishes are clean. The wash cycles are ridiculously long and occasionally I notice a gritty film on the glasses. I bought this dishwasher for its quietness, which it is, but there is nothing quiet about it when I am YELLING at it every night. If I could do it over again I would not buy this product.

Very Very Nice...and Quiet too

Amazed at how efficient and quiet this dishwasher is...While the cycles are longer than what I am used to, for me it doesn't matter to me as the end results are well worth it! Many folks say that it does not dry well - if you add the extra dry cycle and the hot rinse options (since there is no heating element), all of my dishes come out completely dry and squeaky clean. The only way you know it is doing its job is by the blue blinking LED on the upper right top (which I do not find annoying). The racks are extremely flexible and work very well for me. One of the best features is the third rack that holds all the small items that would not work in our old dishwasher. The ability to be able to wash half a dishwasher load on either the top or bottom rack is another good option for me. The one requirement for me was the ability to be able to rinse dishes and then be able to wash a load later. This is one of the few that still will do that. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and next time I am in the market for any kitchen or laundry appliance, I will checkout LG first.

Mixed feelings

I have had this since May. I like that it is quiet and it cleans and runs well. I like all the features but do not feel they were designed well. My glasses (and I have tried several types) do not stand up well in the glass racks and the spacing just doesn't seem right. My lower rack will not stay on the track and my husband had noticed this in the store also. He thought it was just that it was the floor model but this one does the same thing. Now I am noticing the rollers are falling off and missing. The clean out filter is also badly designed and even though it has a pop out opening in the center of it you can't clean out the sides very well and it is rather pointless. My plates also all fall forward in it. Something just isn't right with the whole spacing design and that may be why it has been discontinued.
Pros: Performance, Quality

Dishes won't stand up

We have owned the dishwasher for 7 months. I wish I could return it because the bottom rack is disfunctional. Like others who reviewed this dishwasher, the bottom rack is too flimsy, the spaces between the racks are too far apart causing the dishes to fall every time you slide the draw; constantly causing a repositioning of the dishes. This is a deal breaker for me even if all the othe features work as advertised.

Do not buy LG. Not worth the trouble.

We purchased this dishwasher a few years back and have had nothing but problems with it. We've had to have a tech come out to fix this thing 3 different times for 3 different problems. The most recent being that the pump no longer works so it stopped draining and cleaning properly. It has been broken for 2 months now because we made two appointments and both times they cancelled on us because they refuse to work on LG appliances saying " they are a pain to fix". We called feel squad and had someone come out only to tell us he wouldn't work on it cuz we didn't remove it from under the countertop and after removing it, we now know why... We also have an LG fridge, stove, and microwave, so that they all match and we've had to replace the microwave after only 2 years and had to have repairs done on the I've maker on the fridge. Only problem so far on the stove is off food gets on the glass on the inside it's almost impossible to clean. I will never buy LG again it recommend it to a friend or family.

Great dishwasher...BUT...

Love how quiet this dishwasher is, love where the controls are also, could be a little less cleaning time though. My big problem is the lower rack! The holders for the dishes are too straight, when you load the dinner plates, they fall over every time, WHAT A PAIN this is!!! My old dishwasher the holders were offset a bit so this was NOT a problem, I think LG should come out with a fix for this is a problem! The holders that hold the dishes should be offset & should be replaced!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased 3 months ago. Great product! This washer is extremely quiet -so much so it is hard to hear when operating. Cleans and dries superbly and is very versatile for placing many different dish loads as many rack configurations are available. The top third rack is extremely useful and used most washing cycles. Can handle formal silverware settings for 8 no problem. This is great when you need to segregate fine silver from other metals. We used to have to do silver by hand. Highly recommend this washer. Handsome design also- you can't go wrong.
