[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the first 2 years, the racks rusted and were flaking apart, disintegrating and sharp. Replaced the racks. After less than 5 years, dishwasher died. This machine was a bad investment.

Racks rut

Have had this dishwasher for about 7 years. It washes "okay" as long as you pre-rinse. Very quiet. Biggest issue is the racks have completely rusted through in multiple places. I couldn't keep up with the tines paint that was supposed to stop rust. Replacing it since it costs more to buy new racks than it costs to buy a new one. Next will definitely not be an LG.

Rust is an issue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I struggle with rating this dishwasher. I understand things are not made to last, but the racks on my dishwasher have completely rusted out. As soon as the warranty was up, the racks started falling apart. We have owned a few dishwashers in the past (cheap to expensive) and have never had this issue. Replacing the racks is almost the same cost as replacing the dishwasher itself. The dishwasher cleans well and is a quiet wash (I would give 4-5 stars for that alone), but I will look for a better rack system when replacing. Between the dishwasher and the LG refrigerator (2 compressors, 2 ice makers and a cooling element) purchased together, we are sadly disappointed with the overall quality of the brand.

LOVE THIS SUPER QUIET DISHWASHER!!!

This is by far my favorite new appliance. I love having the third top rack. Makes it easy to fit those tall utensils and pieces of silverware.
The adjustable upper (second) rack is so useful if you have a large item to be placed in the bottom rack and need the extra height. And the slant and tine adjustment of each section allows for complete versatility as well as ensuring that water does not pool on the bottom of your cups and glasses.
The bottom rack has almost every possible adjustable tine combination to make loading easier.
And did I mention it is so quiet that when we first got it we would go check to make sure it was running!
Make sure you really read the Owners Manual so you don't miss out on all the great features of this LG dishwasher.

Quiet, hard working dishwasher

I didn't know how poorly my old dishwasher was working until I replaced it with this LG! My old dishwasher was at the same price point and had many of the same features as this LG, yet my dishes and, especially glassware, is so much cleaner! This dishwasher is so quiet. I can start it up after dinner and no one knows it's running.

flexible dishwasher with lots of features

I like the flexibility of the racks. Use the third shelf a lot. So many choices for wash levels. The only downside is the inability to store your favorite wash program. You need to reprogram it each time. The musical tune at the end of the wash cycle still makes me smile.

Superb cleaning and so quiet

To us it seems like even our old Tervis tumbler glasses have cleared up. All dishes clean beautifully and completely, and we have enjoyed testing our dishwasher. So far 100%! Even sticky silverware and knives are spotless, and we love the third top rack for long utensils. So efficient !
