Great dishwasher but rusting racks/wheels are bad.

Wheels broke so lg replaced but now the rack is rusting its not even a year old yet. I expect more from such a strong name brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The performance of the dishwasher is good. By that I mean it cleans well but so did my old dishwasher at half the cost. The touch screen display and appearance are top notch. The features are great with the exception of the racks. My top rack was falling out so a little ingenuity was called for. (bending the support bar so it sits right) Overall it complemented the other LG appliances I already own so I am happy with the purchase but as everything else in the LG product line seemed to knock it out of the park...this one fell short. In fact it didn't make it out of the infield. :(

I absolutely love this dishwasher! It's positively the quietest dishwasher I have ever "heard." We bought this a set to upgrade our kitchen, and I haven't a complaint about it yet. I have never had an issue with dishes coming out dirty. It does take some learning on the settings but once you figure them out, it makes a dishwasher that will last for many years to come! It is very stylish and makes our kitchen look very fancy at a fancy low cost. I have had many, many compliments on it and have even had people ask me where they can buy one just like it. I highly recommend this dishwasher, not only for how quiet it is, but because it does the best job on cleaning.

Best dishwasher EVER!

The steam feature helps get cruddy dishes with dried on cheese, sauce, or baked on grime clean as a whistle. It is also so quiet that I cannot hear it from just a few feet away, except when it drains but that is actually noise from the sink. Glasses and tableware comes out sparkling. Outstanding performance, energy efficient, water saving, with great build quality & modern styling. It really is awesome. My old unit from a major manufacturer sounded like a helicopter hovering in my kitchen by comparison, and it left spots and did not remove dried on foods very well. This steam unit cleans everything and does so quietly, while looking elegant in my kitchen. I highly recommend this dishwasher!

Good features, super quiet

I love the steam cleaning feature, and the look of the dishwasher. It's super quiet - so much so that you can't always tell when it's on. The tone it plays when the dishes are done is charming. You truly don't have to rinse your dishes before washing them, but I have noticed that since we only run it every few days, an odor can develop from the food, so I started rinsing them anyway. The bottom rack pulls out and sometimes goes off the rail, and it is so low that the door has hit my feet a couple of times! Other than that, I'm pleased with this purchase.

My best dishwasher ever

It is quiet and cleans the dishes thoroughly with no residue. My only complaint is that the cycle is so long. It is so quiet that we can watch television and have a conversation in the same room. My previous top-of-the-line Whirlpool had two major/expensive problems in its first two years so I purchased the LG with some concerns and have been thoroughly pleased with the function. The steam feature gives me great confidence when anyone isn't feeling well.

Whistling?

We love our dishwasher. My favorite part and the reason we bought it is because of the third rack. All of the larger utensils go up there as well as some small containers for salad dressings, etc. There is plenty of space for everything else. The middle glass rack moves up and down to make space for whatever you need. We did notice a high pitched whistling noise every now and then for a little while but it seems to have stopped. A tech came out since it's under warranty twice and took some things apart to check on them but it seems to be better now. It was not loud and it was barely noticeable but still there. We are very happy with our purchase and all the cycle selections. Our dishes are beautifully clean!
