Nice machine, but does have flaws

Positives: The machine is very quiet and does a fine job cleaning
Cons: As others state the bottom rack falls of the rails frequently.. this feels like a design flaw and should be address (LG???). The space between bottom rack pins is a little wide plates tend to flop over (again design issue). The real bugger is the the adjustable racks fall down way to easy.. I had to use a zip tie to keep them up
Yes I still give this dishwasher 3 stars due to the fact it does a nice job cleaning and is very quiet.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

Quiet

Quietest dishwasher ive ever heard. Has some issues though. There is a thin silverware shelf at the top that interferes with things on the next shelf. Small bowls and tall cups will not fit because of the silverware shelf.
The silverware basket is in the back on the bottom shelf requiring you to pull the shelf all the way out for access. A pain when youre only putting silverware in.
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings, Quality

Almost perfect Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I are very pleased with every appliance we have bought from LG and everything about this dishwasher stands up to the standards they have in appliances with a couple of drawbacks in design flaws. The panel at the top of the door with all the controls for the dishwasher are very hard to read. If you have bad eyesight this is a negative. It would be nice if LG would of used the same coloring on the Logo at the left side of the door for the whole panel.
The next problem was the bottom rack wants to roll off the guide on the door. I do not know if this is due to small wheels on the rack. It causes dishes to collapse because the tines fold over due to being bumped.
I love how quiet this dishwasher is and how sparkly clean the dishes come out. I have to say my dishes have not looked this good in years. My glasses actually look new to me. I hope LG goes to redesign these few things and then they will corner the market with a fabulous dishwasher.
Pros: Performance, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although this is the quietest dishwasher I've ever owned, I cannot stand the adjustable holders on the bottom rack. They are not designed well. They do not properly hold large dishes - they make the dishes fall over on each other - and they do not stay in place. I, by far, prefer my noisy dishwasher that properly held my dishes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Granted, I only have it in operation for a few days and probably less than ten cycles (including my own DIY installation leak tests before handing it over to the wife), but so far it is excellent. Everything we hoped for.
I've not had any issue other people wrote about tines and plates falling over. I will say that under a load the tines do feel a little less "solidly" fixed as it does in the store display, but not excessively loose; if I am careful, take a modicum of give-a-5h1t time to do it right, none of the tines / plates fall over in the wash. I'm not "babying" it, either - just taking time to stack carefully.
Have not used the steam yet (no occasion to have-to) but have used the Quick and Normal cycles. The Normal uses about 2/3 or half less water than the Quick, but the Normal is about twice-three times as long as the Quick. Not sure yet my locality if electric or water consumption is more expensive, so...
The flexibility with the lay-flat tines is AWESOME!!! I used to have to jerry-rig fit the pots and such onto fixed tines in my old dishwasher, and moving the vessel around so it actually sits flat around the tines used to mean I lost square inches of the lower rack due to dead space. Not anymore! With the selective lay-flat tines I can drop as many tines flat as I need, and keep up those tines I want to keep up, for maximum space utilization.
The 3rd rack silverware tray(s) are great, too! I don't even use the conventional basket half the time anymore. To properly use the 3rd rack takes a little bit more time and effort than the olden days of simply dumping a mass of forks into a basket, but the time spent is well worth it.
Racks are adjustable for height, too, but haven't had to employ that feature just yet.
Dishes come out dry and clear (except plastics, but I NEVER had plastics ever come out dry no one that I've ever know.
Happy.
Would recommend.
If this thing stays great I will probably not remember to come back and update this post, so if you never hear form me again than all is well. I'd probably only come back to edit/add a follow-on if it sux later on.

Worst Dishwasher of my Life
on November 3, 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I regret ever purchasing this dishwasher and wish I could return it. It does a horrible job at washing the dishes so everything must be scrubbed off before I put it in, the tines that hold the dishes always fall, the rack for your glasses is designed at a weird angle so glasses don't fit and fall over and break (tried many types of glasses and none stay up), the energy rating I thought was great---until I found out that to get that they took out a heated drying cycle so your dishes have to air dry which I have to open the dishwasher to dry my dishes, the third rack doesn't clean any flatware I have put in it and is small that it doesn't hold anything else. The only good thing I can say about this dishwasher is that it is quiet---I'd take back my noisy one though for the job this one does.
Pros: Style/Design

not dependable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] barely over 2 years old and the water pump is out once again. only appliance I have ever felt the need to purchase an extended warranty. Even that hasn't helped. Repairman here yesterday and this model has a unique pump....presently not able to find one on this continent. This is the THIRD pump in 2 years 2 months. Must be run on heavy duty cycle in order to clean satisfactorily. Very very dissatisfied . Feel LG should replace the unit as I gave premium price and have received less than premium performance. Has been inoperable now for 11 days and counting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher works great and is very quiet when running. All three racks are rusting into. Luckily I noticed it before warranty was out. However, replace the has not been easy. I have two of the three, but they changed the colors of them on me.
