LG is going to regret asking for my review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever bought for my home. The only reason I give it 1 star is because I cannot give it 0. The pump only lasts for a few months before it needs replacing. The control board doesn't last long either. It may look nice on the outside but it is definitely a poorly made, cheap plastic, cheap part product on the inside. This dishwasher is ALWAYS breaking. I would run from this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

An Excellent Machine with a Few Drawbacks
on September 22, 2017

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our LG dishwasher is overall a fine machine. It does get the dishes clean. There are a variety of wash cycles and in some there are a few additional choices (e.g., the intensity of the rinse spray, how hot the water, etc.) It is nice to have a rinse-only cycle (when you're not ready for a full cycle). The drawback is the length of the cycles; nearly all take at least 2.5 hours up to almost 3 (and possibly longer). There is a Quick and Dry that's shorter, but only for a light load. As for racks, the horizontal positions are excellent; the top full rack can be raised or lowered depending upon what is in the bottom tray. The third rack also is a great idea for silverware, very small bowls, etc. The problem area is with the adjustable tines: While the idea is good -- to have tines that can be lowered to fit various dishes, these tines do not hold position well when in the regular (vertical) position so one is forever having to bend down to raise them back up and often to redo the dishes that have come unloose. Also, in the bottom rack, the rows of tines do not always line up well, which means plates & bowls start knocking into each other. These flaws are annoying but are far from being a major problem! Over all, we are quite happy with it.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings, Quality

Would not buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While it cleans powerfully, the interior design stinks. The angle on the top rack make putting my glasses in impossible. All of the movable parts don't "lock" into place well at all. The silverware basket is 3 pieces. They don't stay together so lifting the whole thing out to unload is impossible. The times of the lower rack fall down EVERY time I close the tray. So my dishes are constantly falling over and crashing together.

Very Quiet but Clean Dishes Are An Issue
on March 4, 2018

The cycles are too long and the dishes come out foggy and unclean. We use a rinse aid as it suggests in the manual and an extra rinse cycle, dishes still don't come out clean. Clear glass seems to come out the worst. They seem to come out dirtier than when we put them in. Mainly, the glass is very foggy and has a white film that my wife has to manually scrub off later. The bottom rack prongs are difficult to keep vertical and the arrangement of them, in order to hold plates straight, is not very intuitive. My main concern is the fogginess and lack of cleanliness seen on the dishes. Is there something we're doing wrong? Oh, the third top third rack is not very helpful. Suggestions?
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use

Junk from day 1

This dishwasher is now 4 years old and it could have burned my house down. The circuit board is fried, plastic is melted, and wires are corroded. New part is $200. The door for the soap falls off, the arm mounted to the bottom of the upper rack falls off, and the seal for the back of the upper rack falls off. We bought all new lg appliances 4 years ago, and we couldn’t be more disappointed. Every single one, except the dryer (knock on wood) has had issues or failed completely. I will never buy from lg again.

Quiet, But that's all.

Never dries dishes on any cycle. Adjustable racks are a nice feature, but they won't stay upright. Middle rack began to disintegrate and rust in one little spot. Thought it was nicked by something sharp. Then all the racks began wasting away. Think twice or get an extended warranty.

Quiet dishwasher/corroded racks
on December 13, 2020

A couple years after buying this dishwasher, the middle rack tines that are adjustable and flop down started to corrode. Its to the point where the rows don’t stay up as they can’t connect. This is very frustrating as this was the most expensive LG dishwasher we could get. We also have issues with the gas stove- convect oven we purchased model number LSG4513ST. If the gas burner knob gets bumped slightly the gas turns on before the Igniter kicks in. This is a major fire hazard as my wife came home from work one day and could smell gas. I have contacted LG twice with no results of anyone coming out to look at the stove.
