Part of a Great Kitchen Suite

We purchased a LG Kitchen Suite in July of 2017. All four appliances have given us good service. The dishwasher has several neat features and is extremely quiet. When we had a problem with the second rack of the dishwasher a few months ago we reported it to the LG service department. LG agreed to replace the rack but said that it was on back order. Fortunately, the dishwasher was still operable and we received a new rack after a two month wait. The dishwasher has functioned very efficiently for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher works great, however, the racks rusted and needed to be replaced. We called LG and replaced them promptly. I have to give them Kudos for that. This is why I am going it 4 stars instead of 5.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The board went out twice on this dishwasher. The upper rack hardware fell apart and was never fixed under warranty. Dishwasher is one month out of warranty and I have to throw it away.

The design and forethought that went into this dishwasher is very impressive. This unit has 3 racks that all have adjustable features that make it easy to accommodate any dish or utensil that we own This dishwasher is so quiet the only way to tell it is operating is by the string of blue indicator lights on the door. We would not run our previous dishwasher until we went to bed because unit made so much noise we would have to turn up the volume on the TV or leave the kitchen if talking on the telephone. This unit is so quiet I have to actually put my ear up to the door to hear it running. As for cleaning performance, our dishes and glassware actually sparkle when we take them out. Wine, Juice and 8oz drinking glasses come out crystal clear. No water marks on dishes or silverware. We have only had this unit for 2 months and still learning how to use its many features including the True Steam Technology. One thing we noted is that this unit does take longer to complete the cleaning cycle than our previous unit but the end results are so impressive and the unit so quiet that we do not mind the time taken. At this time we have no complaints and are extremely pleased with our choice and would recommend it without hesitation.

Quiet but...

I have owned this dishwasher for about 5 months and, as others have said, it cleans well and is very quiet. There are some negatives which I feel should have been obvious to the designers. 1. there are a lot of options for configuring the racks (great!) but after a while they fall down too easily if bumped (Bad!). The hidden controls look great and include a countdown timer (great!), but you can't see the timer when the door is closed and the button surround is lit when selected but the labels aren't (bad!) You have to memorise the positions of your favorite selections or turn on all the lights in the kitchen to see at night. The blue LED flashes to show that it is working (great!), the LED is so bright the whole kitchen flashes blue and there is no option to turn it off (bad!)

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I knew I'd be pleased with a new machine. What I didn't know was just how much. I debated getting steam but in the end decided if I'm spending that much I want the best I can get. At first I rinse, then when I read not to I went for it and put dishes in after just scraping them off. I was unsure as some of the dished were dried and pans were heavily coated. It was like a miracle, they turned out every bit as good as hand washing, perhaps better. I save so much time now. Without knowing its durability over time I highly recommend this washer. *****. I thought it wash a bit expensive but if it continues without trouble it will be worth it. I love not having to do dishes anymore!!!

I ran this dishwasher first time and nothing got cleaned. I had to get the book out and read it. I had to choose, heavy, extra dry in order to get it to work right. I paid enough for it, for the quality. I expect to get my money's worth. I don't want it to quit in a year. I bought the warranty for 5 years. The pro is that it is quiet, the con is I can't see the features, they don't light up. I had to get a flashlight. For it to be so expensive, they should have lit it up where you could read it.
Pros: quiet
