Printing-Not good

I have cleaned and cleaned it and it still prints black splotches on paper. In normal mode, a Word document is not presentable when printed. It looks like the ink is running out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my 3rd Epson printer, I will not buy other brands since I purchased my first Epson for printing photos. It is a great printer for its price.

Definite cost savings on ink

I selected this printer for the ink "wells" over the cartridges and I am saving money on ink. I printed more when I first purchased the printer and the print was great. Notice more striations when I don't print for a while...and yes, I perform the maintenance and cleaning.
