Setting up the Epson Expression ET2550
on October 10, 2016

Ok, I admit it. I was a little afraid.
Of course, I HATE the high cost of printer ink, but cartridges are easy. I think of myself as fairly fluent in computers, but setting up the ET 2550? Is it going to be hard?
Wow.
That was easy. I went to youtube, and did a search for setting up the Epson ET 2550. I followed the instructions, put newspaper underneath the printer, wore plastic gloves, and BOOM. It was easy peasey.
The printer was designed by geniuses. Everything is so intuitive and well made that it would almost impossible to mess up.
The fear is gone. Epson, you did a great job. Setting this up was simple.
Easy Peasey.

I love the Ecotank

We had a printer from another manufacturer and were going through a full set of ink cartridges per month with our 2 high school age sons in the house. We bought our ecotank printer 2 months ago and have not had any problems, like the quality, and have already saved about 1/2 the purchase price of the printer in those 2 months due to the larger amount of ink. Brilliant idea making the tanks see through so you can see how much ink is in there! Thanks Epson, customer for life.

Love this machine

I have been using this All-in-One printer now for a little over a month and love it! Previously, the machine I owned had a big issue with ink drying out too quickly & having to spend a lot of money on new ink cartridges. Epson is brilliant!! The printer was a little more expensive, but well worth it. The ink containers are huge & will last for a LONG time. Plus they are not expensive to replace when needed. After much usage, I haven't seen the levels (which are visible) go down at all. My only concern is the colors could be brighter. I have not, however, talked to anyone at Epson to see if I there is anything I can do. I only used the settings on the front of the machine to change intensity etc Have already recommended to many friends. Thank you Epson!

Set up and first print
on October 15, 2016

The instructions were easy to follow for the set up on line. Considering I hate the typical ambiguous confusing and dead ends encountered with other brand setups, this was easy. I am looking forward to the savings advertised with the ink wells. Cartridges are an extremely wasteful and expensive. This should have been done years ago but !! that would mean less money for the producers. I can not give it five stars yet, need to use it for awhile.
The test page was of good quality. The first photo copy was good.

After understanding all the possible settings I find this printer to be all it was advertised to be. What a blessing to not sit and see dollar signs everytime I want to print some pictures. Cost is not longer a factor! I love it!

New Printer

Got this because of the ink 'tanks'. Hopefully they will pay for the machine. Use to have a cartridge Epson, cartridges cost a lot. Only 'bad' item is the need to manually turn paper for 2 sided printing.

This is the best and most practical printer I have ever seen. The self fill ink tanks are a boon, last for about two years and save you u8ntold amounts of money by not buying cartridges. The printing is of laser quality and the price is a bargain. You won't be sorry

About time.

I struggled against automatic updates on a WF-2540 for years trying to keep a buggy CISS system running. Grandkids that love to make "printings" will kill you buying cartridges.
So when I saw Epson was making a constant ink system, it was the spontaneous splurge buy of the year. It has not disappointed. Easy to fill and set up, good quality printing, it's very nice.
I would like more flexibility in setting up defaults and other variables, but all in all it's a great printer. Cost more upfront, but the savings in ink will make that up in short order. These are the future, glad Epson made the leap.
