I have been a die-hard HP fan for many years but started looking @ Epson Eco-Tank technology about a year ago. Was very simply tired of fighting cartridges (when they would run out/alignment/ increasing cost, etc.). But I thought initial pricing was too high.
Now price has dropped considerably and WOW- what a value!
I like the clarity, quietness, standard reduce/enlarge feature, color density adjustment, quietness and of course all the less hassle with cartridges!
It was easy to set up and operate. I am now an Epson and Eco-tank convert!

Ink replacement fantastic

I love this printer. I use it a lot and the ink seems to last forever. And, even when I have to replace it, it is very inexpensive. Great printer.

I don't do a lot of printing, but was totally sick of buying ink that costs as much as the printer did, so we opted for this just to get away from ink cartridges that only held a few drops of ink, so far so good, and the printer is much quieter than the last one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Concept

I bought this three weeks ago and haven't had a chance to really try the printing quality. What I'm writing about are the installation instructions. Both my partner and I found them lacking in clarity and simplicity. I'm tenacious when it comes to hanging in there and figuring something out but I was frustrated with the lack of ease at getting the printer set-up. Raym was ready to take it back and we both believe in the concept of getting away from ink cartridges that add to cost and most importantly waist. I think with a little thought and working with people who aren't in the industry and completely computer savvy changes could be made to increase the ease of set-up.

Nice printer... huge ink wells!

Love this printer because of the huge ink wells. Initially it produced beautiful photos... very clear and sharp. Lately, however, the printer is producing dark, muddy photo prints not like earlier ones. I did not get ink colors mixed up that might have caused the problem and can only conclude something happened to print settings or driver. Other users on line found the same issue. Not sure how to fix it so I no longer use the printer for photo printing, text only.
