Possibly not for everyone...but a great printer, especially if you do a lot of printing and get so tired of running out of ink, changing ink cartridges, and re-ordering more ink. A great product.

Set up was easy if you follow instructions. It came with a cd ,but it would be good if it did had a option for double side print automatic ,not manual. So far good and easy to operate and print. All my computers and iPad connect to the printer.

Just purchased the unit and finished setting it up. The print is crisp and clear and the set-up was easy. And the idea of filling your own ink tanks is brilliant. Good machine, good purchase, good company...

What a GREAT printer! I am getting ready to do a gallery show and this printer has been a work horse! I only wish it could do larger prints then 8.5 x 11. Still a fantastic value!

Great Home Printer

I bought the Epson when my Kodak Office Hero failed. The main attraction was the "EcoTank" longer lasting and less expensive ink. Setup seemed long and one of my computers didn't want to consistently recognize the printer on wireless. I get excellent printing and very clear scans to PDF.
Print quality, ease of ink refill and economical ink is a definite plus.

The new Epson 2550 tank type printer

Wow you hit the ball outside the park with this printer. It was packed well and the instructions were spot on and one needs to follow it word for word and the filling is easy but as the instructions say use rubber gloves to protect you hands from spill and something under that side just in case of a spill because the Ink is good and will not wash off with anything I have at my home. May be as a suggestion if you put some rubber gloves in with the shipment and with the ink would remind those like my self who thought I could get by with out them. Yep I got some on one finger but after several weeks it is now gone, and I knew better but thought O I won't spill but just is dribble or putting the plugs back in there is a chance of touching the some ink. Other than that it was a slam dunk and the printing is crisp and the best part is the photo printing is perfect color and looks great. So yes I am a happy camper and hope with time I will keep on liking it. I figure it will pay it self off in one year easy. Trips to get ink in the middle of the night when you run out and the price of one cartarge of regular ink is the price of a two year supply with this machine. Still learning about the scanner and hope it gets better being user friendly and I am sure it will. The Crash

Printer is great, does what I need and more. I wish they had a better size screen that you can see better with. The style of the printer is ok, could have been made with a better plastic since it looks very cheaply made.

Reliable & Economic

This printer is very reliable, and produces very good quality print on a variety of media of varying sizes. As we all know, the high cost of most printers is the cost of the ink. But, these EccoTank printers slash that cost to a mere fraction of the cost of constantly purchasing ink cartridges. I have now printed several thousand pages in the last 8 months, and still have ample ink in the reservoirs to print thousands more pages. I have never had any problem with the printer, or with print quality. No problem of ink clotting even when the printer was not used for several weeks.
The one problem that did occur was the result of updating my laptop's operating system to Windows 10, which stripped out a number of page sizes recognized by the printer. That did require downloading and installing an updated driver from Epson, but was not a difficult chore. I believe this new driver comes installed in all the new printers now being sold. Of course, it is to be expected that new drivers might be needed when the computer operating system is updated.
