Initial setup took a bit longer, but start up quick and prints nicely. Not professional color printing from laser, but great to school work

Works Perfectly

Purchased this printer and to my surprise very easy to set up. Prints nicely. Ink is easy to fill because of the easy accessible ink tanks. Great feature for shutting down the printer with the built in timer.
Connected to the internet without any problems. The LED menu screen is small but easy to read so there is no problem there.

Nice Printer why did it take Epson USA so long to release it

I love the continuous ink supply system (CISS) printers been using them for years finally able to buy my first one in USA.I had been using these systems in the Philippines since 2009. The early models were aftermarket add-ons then Epson Philippines introduced their models. The printers are not with out limitations the are great that you won't get stopped in the middle of that document that you need to print so bad. Just keep extra ink on hand. Stay with Epson original ink. I found that if you use other ink it gets gummy or gels and you will be cleaning the print heads a lot. If you do high volume printing give the printers time to rest and cool between jobs. Also if you do a lot of printing you should either clean the waste ink pads or it may overflow and leave a stain on the printer table. I went and modified the the back by cutting small hole to access the ink waste tube and ran it to the outside of the printer into an old ink bottle now I just manually dump the bottle. When you reach Epson's programed life expectancy of the printer you will get errors regarding print heads and the ink waste pad. Epson offers a one time maintenance reset program. There is also aftermarket software available. The printers may cost more up front than cartridge printers but overall you spend the same once you figure in your ink cartridge replacements. But the priceless factor is you will always be able to print and not have to run out to the store to buy cartridges.

Initial setup is easy with clear instruction. So far, we are satisfied with our Epson 2550 printer. The colors are clear and it is a fast printer. Printing something with this printer takes only seconds.

Disappointed

From the very start, this printer continues to freeze or not stay connected to the wireless internet and we have to unplug and restart it to get it to work again. Now am extremely disappointed that the heads seem to be unaligned and the print quality is horrible even after numerous head cleanings and maintenance. A wireless printer is useless if you have to go to the printer every time to restart it anyway and now with the print quality it is a completely useless printer!

Good Printing but shorter life and difficult to troubleshoot

I've taken approximately 100 prints since I bought this printer in Nov'17. But today it started giving me issues like white bands/lines in print and copy. When I searched for the solutions then solutions talk about power ink flushing for which I'm not in favor because even after doing it if it doesn't solve the issue then it means I'm wasting the whole ink without getting the solution.
