Nice but not for me

Seemed like a very nice printer until I discovered that it does not do two-sided printing period. Not automatic two-sided printing like the Expression Premium XP-830 that I ended up buying (you do nothing-it turns the original over for you and prints both sides) nor two-sided printing where you turn the odd printed pages over and put them back on the fed tray and resume printing the even sides. Same for two-sided scanning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sound and excellent Printer System

I have built continues inkings systems around epson printers becasue Epson has the best inkjet printer head. I love this new printer. Price is high but after the cost of parts and my time in labor it is cheaper that building my own system.. I really like being able to use Epson inks rather than thrid party copies. I found it was easy to set up and has been working for a month with out any problem! Thank you Epson for building ths printer.

This is the first time I install a printer with no difficulty. Installation was easy and did not need a tech to help me out. Instructions easy to understand.

Epson et-2550

I am most likely the world's worst computer person. However, I took my et-2550 out of the box and set it up without any help via USB to my desk top computer. Then set it up for WIFI on my laptop. Had NO problems and can now print from both computers. The et-2550 is super easy to set-up and the print quality is far superior to my previous printer. On my old printer I was spending enough each year on ink cartridges to buy a new et-2550 every year. Filling the ink well was also very easy. After seeing the quality of print on the test page, I then printed several of my own items and was amazed at the printing clarity. The printer is very user friendly. Just push the power button and then the OK button when the screen reads "DO not change", and you are ready to operate. I would recommend this printer to everyone. I belong to a non-profit organization and I have recommended the organization purchase one of the Eco printers to reduce our cost for bulk printing. Based on the amount of printing the Organization does our savings should be several hundred dollars every year. You have produced a superior printer.

clearer instructions would be appreciated

no where in the instructions does it include specific instructions that installation requires the disc to be installed and running while the printer is also in wifi connection setup rather than wifi setup wizard. It only states this in the setup of the installation disc AFTER many hours of setting the printing up using the wifi wizard. It would be helpful to have this info included in the paperwork instructions so that the person reading the instructions, who might not be computer or printer literate, knows all the physical (hard) steps before the software installation.

Dissatisfied with printer

I was a bit reluctant purchasing an expensive printer, but the potential savings in ink costs was hard to pass up. Had the printer functioned well, I'd be thrilled....but it doesn't. Out of the box, the default print settings are over-saturated, off-color, and the printer spits out far more ink than necessary. The ink also bleeds out around the lower right corner of the paper, leaving horrible black staining. And the scanning software looks like it hasn't been updated for 10+ years. Sad. I loved my old Epson, but this one is a disappointment. I either have to return it or toss it. I simply can't use something that prints so poorly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One Detail over looked

I just finished installing the printer and printed a test page over your wireless connection. However since the instructions are on the CD and no where on the box does it suggest that you have a USB printer cable for set up I was almost in a panic since your instructions said this was the preferred method. I just happened to find one but would have felt better if that was on your box so I could make sure I was ready instead of finding out in the middle of set-up.

A 'Yes' and A 'No'

'Yes' - It prints good, so I like that. I like the fact that ink is liquid and not as expensive as cartridges. I hope it lasts as long as they claim.
'No' - I wish it would print 2-sided (as my last printer did). The screen is very small and hard to read. Instead of a 'yes' or 'no' above where would I recommend this product to a friend, I would prefer a 1-10 so I could select 5. I want to choose both 'yes' and 'no' but I chose 'yes' because I had to select one.
