Personal Printer with Ink Tanks

I think it's about time that a home printer finally has refillable tanks using ink bottles, instead of replacing ink cartridges. Long-lasting, and only refill which ink tank is low. Genius! Super easy to install the printer and had it up and running in very little time. I look forward to many years of use from this printer.
I was also nudged to buy it as it is recommended by Consumer Reports.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is my third Epson. I have never had one break, I've just bought new ones to update. I was very excited to see Epson came out with the ECO Tank. I have complete confidence in their products.

Feeder Error Code 0xF1

Printer worked great for several weeks but paper feeder was very glitchy and tech support online to repair is not easy to find. I receive error code 0xF1. We have two Epson WF-7510 and a WF-7520 and love their printers but this first generation printer with EcoTank technology needs improvement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The printer is fine but I really need an instruction manual. Don't know why one isn't provided. Also, the packaging says "enough ink provided for 2 years." Mine is already getting lower after only 2 weeks! I feel deceived!

Difficult set up

The setup CD is a joke. It simply redirects you to the website. It took 18 attempts to get through the download with an excellent internet connection and a disabled firewall. Craziness. Then it took several attempts to complete the wireless setup. (Not user errors, just wouldn't connect). When I finally got it set up, its print quality is very average. Will report in a year of ink usage.

Definitely not a Workforce Printer

We owned a Workforce 610 printer and were very pleased with it. So when it finally wore out we obviously bought another EPSON printer. We were going to buy another Workforce but chose the ET-2550 EcoTank All-in-One Printer because of the ink tanks and the extended amount of printing you were supposed to receive and the reduced cost of the ink overall. Big mistake!!!! The print quality is sub par and I have cleaned and aligned the heads numerous times to no avail. Our print is lite and has lines running through it. We are very disappointed in this product but not EPSON as a company. As stated before We had a Workforce 610 and were extremely pleased with that product. The only reason we did not purchase another Workforce was due to the amount of money we were spending on ink. As soon as we have the budget we will be trashing this ET-2550 and purchasing another Workforce. Do not waste you money on this printer.
